    Yes Sir. I have a "baseball card" of him. He went on to coach with Vince Lombardi. My friend used to be a ball boy for the Packers and would play catch with Bart Starr who my friends say was a giant dick.

    I hold that stuff against him as well. Much as I dislike the Cuban guy that we got for Lester who said he would not re-sign with Boston. Yeah, Cespades or whatever. f*** them.

    I'll tell you my friend I almost jumped off my sofa when this happened. Austin walked into an ambush. Kelly knew that he could handle that punk-ass but the punk-ass was too stupid to see that he was getting in over his head. Kelly may look skinny but I have no doubt that he knows how to hurt someone. Not too many would f*** with Kareem Abdul Jabbar as I recall. Yup. Kelly has a new fan here. I now view the Lackey trade as something a little better than a disaster. Beyond all this talk what is really cool is that it does seem that this team has an attitude and what Kelly did reinforces the idea that no one should f*** with the Sox.

    Cora has stated on TV that Bogey will not see game action until he is 100%. I am usually very suspect of such comments but this time with Cora saying it I tend to believe him.

    Are you from the Boston area and have you been a NY Giants fan? If so, that is very understandable. There are loads of people in this area that still cheer for the Giants. My best friend's Father played for the Giants so I get to hear all types of stuff from the older era of NFL ball. Ever heard of Ray Wietecha?

    Yes it is for many reasons. Most of the people on this board are not from Boston so they don't have allegiance to all of our teams. Their loss.

    Outstanding play by JD. I can see there will be a debate about the wisdom of going there but to me it was heads-up smart baseball. I like it.

    To any honest person who has seen the play this is how it is. Did Austin try to hurt Holt? I am not sure. But he intentionally raised his left leg and foot toward Holt's leg. That is indisputable. If Holt had been hurt There would be no other conclusion to come to other than Austin is a dirty player trying to hurt other players.

    The Holt hate is boring. On the other hand, Lin continues to impress with his speed and hitting. Obviously he is a glove.

    Sox announcers said nothing about it as I recall. I would have to see it again to be sure but he was where the throw came in from what I DID see. If he was camping there prior to the thow arriving I was not able to see it on the replays. I think it's just one of those baseball plays that you cringe at. Betts left the game with a bruised left ankle and x-rays were negative. My guess is that he gets advanced imaging and a day off Sunday.

    To be honest, I don't dislike Olive Garden. They do have excellent salad and their food is wholesome and usually appetizing. But it is not really Italian cuisine. It's more like what Taco Bell is to Mexican. To each his or her own, I guess. I'm just glad I live in a region where genuine ethnic foods are readily available.
