I sort of figured that out as I was typing my response! I understand what WB was saying. I'm not as quick to dismiss his arm. I haven't seen enough of him at third to make that judgment. He has a decent arm from the hole. I guess there would be the issue of his power. I don't see him hitting 20-25 HR , but I do believe he'd smack a bunch of doubles.

Take your pick. I'm assuming that the Sox want to be able to load the line-up with lefty bats in some situations.

I don't know how true it is. Abraham (sp?) mentioned today that the Sox want a left hand bat for platoon at 1st base and Kotchman was mentioned. Why not just put Papi out there?
