    I still think that the "Rivalry" really heated up over the Mickey Rivers thing. I wonder what Ted thinks? I could be wrong, of course. I don't remember everything.

    Pruneface makes legit points. I still think that boxing is dying. It used to be f***ing huge when I was a kid and young man. I have not done any research to back my opinion. But I do not know one single person who follows boxing anymore. I used to love going to see boxing. Now that my two "Heros" are gone from the sport I just think it is barbaric. I grew up in the same home town as Cassius Clay and Marvin Hagler boxed out of Brockton and was heavily covered by Boston media. I saw him fight live three times. He could just tear people apart. He was brutal. And he got f***ed in the Leonard fight. No thumbs was a very dumb concession made by the Petronellis. After that, the judges took care of the rest.

    Miley was s***. And that is being nice. Sox can't always count on pounding teams. Especially when Papi sits.

    That's your opinion. Based on just looking at stats and parroting what others say. I have not seen anything from him that screams MLB can't miss.

    I'm with you on this. Bradley is way too talented defensively to be discarded. His bat can be corrected. Well, maybe not according to our resident experts.

    He is a poor AAA hitter so far. And I would hope for at least league average for SS in the majors. And he is not that great defensively from the games that I have seen ( about 6 ). He'll never play big league ball in Boston.

    I am not confused I just think that a Man should have thicker skin and more self control than Fred has displayed. Threatening other posters is just very childish over something as silly as this. I remember being labeled the Whitest Member on this board and everyone thought it was just a riot. Not me. But I took it in stride and laughed at it. I doubt that anyone really thinks that Fred is like Goober. It was a silly joke and could have been taken that way. But Fred has this idea that we all owe him more respect because he is older or for whatever reason. He has proclaimed that he is "The Dean". I have no idea why he sees himself this way. Especially when he over reacts as he did tonight. And while I am on the subject of poor behavior, I think Fred's attacks on this new guy Cycles are unfounded and inappropriate. That guys has been pretty reasonable since he joined from what I can see. If he were Dutchy, Yaz or Youk would have banned him by now.

    I did not ridicule anyone. He was hurling threats to both Kimmi and myself and then insulted Kimmi. I get that you two are buds. That does not mean that you have to turn blind eyes to his antagonistic and condescending attitude towards other members. He certainly is not acting as much of a Dean. He should be sent to the corner of the room or to the Principle's office. I generally get along with most people here and I have endured my share of criticism and even what you may call ridicule. I'm still here. Of course I don't go around trying to force my opinion on others by repeating the same "missives" over and over and over again then insult the assaulted. I posted a pic of Goober Pyle in response to Kimmi's post. If Fred can't laugh at himself over something really mild and stupid like that then he should just keep to himself. The rest of his schtick is too tiresome to have to put up with his hostility and childish behavior.

    Yeah, me too. I can't remember the years or teams but I'm pretty sure that I have seen teams play that badly over an entire year.

    The A's just went into the shitter. Losing Cespedes did not help but it was hardly the root cause of the collapse.
