  1. It'd be nice to see Bard notch a quality start right away.
  2. Of course not, but the percentages certainly decrease when you're playing from behind on a constant basis.
  3. Starting from behind in 5 consecutive games is never a good thing, no matter what part of the season it is.
  4. Will we ever play with an early lead this season? Holy s***...
  5. No problem, guy. Gave me a good chuckle, and for that I thank you.
  6. This is amazing. What an awful post.
  7. Not sure what this post means. Bard is in the rotation and I believe he'll succeed. With this bullpen, it doesn't look like it will matter though. Jump in your hyperbaric chamber, Bailey!
  8. Thought the same thing to myself. It's amazing how awful he is every even season.
  9. Agreed COMPLETELY on Sweeney. I mean, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just one day, but it's rare to see a major leaguer look that confused on routine/semi-routine plays. Let's hope it was a fluke or we're in a lot of trouble, at least until Crawford returns.
  10. Not sure how I feel about this. I hate to lose Aceves in his long relief role but this is probably the right move. This bullpen is going to need to nut up and quick.
  11. Agreed. He was semi-effective when he was able to pitch, but I'm sure Theo would bring in more help if he could do it over again. Aceves should have been thrown into the starting rotation too. I understand his value as a long reliever, and he's lights out, but at some point you have to stop the bleeding no matter what it takes. He was the Sox' best pitcher and the team should have rode him to the end.
  12. Dear Lord. Don't even joke about such awful things.
  13. Huh? We must be watching different pitchers. Wakefield gets his ass rocked every time he takes the mound at this point. Now that he eclipsed 200 wins, I don't see any reason to let him take the ball ever again.
  14. Inning should have been over with 1 or 0 runs scored.
  15. I agree, but with Youk out that leaves a little bit of room for some movement at the top. I don't know how I feel about Gonzo hitting 5th but we'll see how it works out. Should be interesting at least.
  16. ^There's a lineup we haven't seen yet. I like the looks of that lineup. Crawford getting a chance to prove that he can stay near the top of the lineup.
  17. As long as it's not one of the 4 stooges, I'll take it.
  18. The next 7 days are going to be torture. Can we win this one and get just a tiny bit of wiggle room? Come on Beckett.
  19. Wow, this is terrifying. Why did we let it come down to this?
  20. Same. Scutaro has far outplayed expectations. Gonna need him to keep it up for at least another week, hopefully more.
  21. I'll take any of Bedard's outings over what we're getting from the circus clowns known as Lackey-Wake-Miller-Weiland.
