    My roommate and I are betting the big bedroom in our new apartment on tomorrow night's game. We move in next week. The Sox have won 4 straight, so of course Cook will go 2 innings allowing 7 ER, leaving me to live in a closet tomorrow.

    Not a bad swap. I think Crawford will be much better, but s***, no chance he puts up a season like Ells did.

    Speaking of which, is there any chance the Sox try to hold on to Ells? I know it would blow having so much locked up in 2 OFs but it would be such a shame to lose someone playing as well as Ells did last year. He was simply fantastic all season long.

    Relax, guy. It's June. Everyone is within 3 games of one another in June. Act like you've watched an entire baseball season before. Now, if you want to complain about lack of starting pitching, A-Gon's evaporation, etc. as reasons that this team is done, go right ahead. However, standing in the division is not a legitimate reason to stick a fork in this team.

    It's not as cut and dry as you make it seem. He's been valuable as a starter through 2 starts. He wants this transition and, until proven otherwise, has earned it. Obviously, he would be a huge addition to the bullpen, but he has geared up all spring to be a starter. It only makes sense to let him give it a go until he fails or the bullpen completely falls apart.

    While we're on the subject, how in the world is Bautista still playing without consequence? To go from averaging 12.33 home runs over his first 6 years to averaging 48.5 over the past 2 seasons is absolutely absurd. Yes, that's 4 times as many per year. Kudos to his "doctor".

    Last year losing to the Guardians to fall to 0-6 rings a bell. Lester pitched an absolute gem. Allowed three hits and got docked for the 1-0 loss. This game reminds me a lot of that one and ironically it's the 6th game of the year again.

    Lester's really pitched well in both outings and it looks like he'll have nothing to show for it again.
