  1. Hopefully we'll get at least 1 pick in today.
  2. Also, for the record, I think that we should only address time window changes in between rounds. For example, so if we were going to shorten the window from 10 hours to 8 hours, it would have to take place at the beginning of a round. That is of course, if the majority of people agree with the change.
  3. At this point, I think we can skip MSU (again) and it'll be Yankshater's turn.
  4. I agree, he's one of my friends here and he's a great guy, so obviously we won't kick him out of the redraft. I remember when I first started drinking as well. I just hope for his sake that he's at least discovering the MSU coeds.
  5. Cmon MSU, you're in danger of being skipped for a 2nd time.
  6. If it still takes forever for people to make their picks, then it can be taken down from there. At this point, only 2 people have ever had to be skipped. And we've made 11 picks today, which I think is pretty good.
  7. So since the 12 hour window is now down to 10 hours, does that mean that MSU has until 2:42pm to make his pick before he's skipped?
  8. For the record, I wasn't insinuating that you made a bad pick Youker. I just remember that you drafted Corey Hart and David Ortiz in our Baseball Redraft League while the AllStar game was on TV, so I was wondering if the Saints/49ers game on TV influenced your pick at all.
  9. Is that because of the game tonight? Also, it's now MSU's turn.
  10. We've had 10 picks thus far today, not bad.
  11. I think that it's Youker's turn now.
  12. Your turn WhiskeyBreath.
  13. I know that both boston and WhiskeyBreath (the pick after boston) are on talkpats often, so if there is activity there for the Monday Night Football game, then we should get those picks in tonight as well.
  14. Now it's Boston22407's pick.
  15. Probably because Dice-K makes a career of putting runners on base, and the Orioles are a good hitting team that had been playing better under their new manager.
  16. I was a pitcher, so I never had to worry about that. (There were only metal bats around anyway)
  17. What about Ray Rice?
  18. I agree for most of those rankings. In any event, my question to you is whether or not there are players available that you'd put above players in those positions that are already drafted? (If there are players available that you'd put ahead of those that are drafted, don't specifically mention who they are)
  19. I agree, but when you combine the disproportionately thin handles with the maple build and that exacerbates the problem exponentially. And I don't think that there's great data to suggest that maple bats are even better for hitting anyway. Don't some of the better hitters use ash bats anyway? I know that A-rod does.
  20. Also, that makes it Yankees228's turn.
  21. Just an organisational question. On the chart on the first page, why is Darrelle Revis in a different Cornerback column as Charles Woodson and Nnamdi Asomugha?
  22. I personally like Andre Johnson better, but they are clearly the top 2. I can tell you though that Fitzgerald definitely would not have made it to your next pick. To your other point, I think that the start of the draft is about getting the most value for your pick (ie taking the best player available) and later in the draft it becomes more about building your team by selecting positions you need (as you can't keep drafting people who play the same position even if they are the best player available) I would also take Willis over Ware for the record.
  23. I'm not sure who you're asking, but I'll say that you have 2 very fine picks thus far. A little unconventional (ie not the typical expected picks), but you picked 2 very good players that are very high on the positional ranking ladders. I think you started some of the scrambling for defensive picks after you picked Willis, and I was hoping that I would get Fitzgerald with my 2nd pick, but alas, he didn't make it back to me. I might have to deduct your team a bit for that. In any event, I think you might have to dig a bit more than other teams for the common position picks, but you'll have yourself set in the areas you've designated now.
