    That would be nice. He should be able to keep the walks down and the ball in the yard vs this lineup.

    I don't think it would be wise to walk the bases loaded in the 1st inning no matter how terrible the bottom of the lineup is. Just too early.

    If it's just a minimum 15 day stint on the DL, then early July I believe.

    I am 100% against it. I just don't see why you would want to take even the slightest risk putting your franchise player in a position that he has only played once in almost 1000 big league games. If they find it absolutely necessary to get Ortiz into some of these games, I would much rather see them pick a couple spots to give Gonzalez the day off and let Ortiz play first. It sucks taking Gonzo out of the lineup for a couple games but it would be a hell of a lot better than losing him to the DL. I know that the risk of injury is pretty unlikely but why roll the dice for some stupid interleague games against Pitt and Hou? Starting Gonzalez all 3 vs Phi is a must. Just curious what the majority is on this dilemma.

    Having McDonald hitting 5th sucks but when you look at the alternatives, they are equally as s*****. f*** interleague play.
