@MacCerullo
Sam Kennedy said the #RedSox haven't decided how they will fill Bloom and O'Halloran's positions, whether it will be one person or two and what the top guy's title will be (Chief Baseball Officer, GM, President of Baseball Ops, etc.)
I don't think they need two guys...
@PeteAbe
A few potential Red Sox candidates off the top of my head: James Click, Sig Mejdal (Orioles), Sam Fuld (Phillies), James Harris (Guardians), Ben Sestanovich (Braves).
Click, Fuld and Sestanovich are maybes for me.
When do we get fat baseball players like Rich Garces, Greg Luzinski, Cecil Fielder, Kent Hrbek, John Kruk, Tony Gwynn and CC Sabathia? I have to disagree with the dietician stuff. Fat is the new market inefficiency.
There were posts, probably not by you, that claimed that we had a very pro-Bloom site and that our views were not consistent with the rest of Red Sox Nation.
@itsbrianbarrett

And yet people like @redsoxstats are melting down over the firing.
@BillKoch25
Kennedy -- 'We expected a team that would be in this thing. A postseason contender. And unfortunately, as we all know, we fell well short of that.'
'We are in the results business. Results, ultimately, always matter.'
Who?
I've seen a lot of pro-Chaim people on Twitter lamenting the firing, but I don't think you'll see it here. The idea that there was a contingent of pro-Bloom posters on here that didn't exist elsewhere was false. It's actually worse on other sites.
@BillKoch25
Kennedy -- 'We need to be competitive. We need to be playing for a postseason spot -- playing meaningful games in September and playing postseason baseball in October.'
'This is a really painful day for a lot of reasons -- especially on the personal side.'
No, seems like he was offered a new senior leadership position? My guess is the new CBO will name their GM or not have one? I think DD didn't have a GM under him for a while.
The David Stearn report came out. Theo was in town. Rumors were swirling. It was the perfect time to add the post. As I have said previously, it would have been dumb to go into next season with him as a lame duck and the best thing to do is let him go BEFORE the offseason, not wait until November if that's what they wanted to do.
