    I just don't see how he could get a D considering the Bailey trade. They weren't going to sign Paps (not Ben's decision anyway) and traded garbage for a solid closer with 3 years left before FA. I fell thos grades are either shortsighted or disingenuous. Frankly, I give Ben a much higher grade than ownership.

    "except for a stretch in 2007" He was great for all of 2007 and 2008. Go back and look at his stats. He fizzled out afterwards, but was very solid for his first 2 years.

    Aside from his remarks about batting 6-7th, I appreciated how CC was open and candid in interviews yesterday. I hope he can turn into a real team leader this year. There wasn't enough leadership last year and he has the pedigree to fill that need.

    He's not filling the seats. My guess is he's hoping for upside on a guy he's only paying $500k. It's very low risk.
