    My only point is that he hasn't been garbage. When I said "you," it was to the board in general not specifically to you. The board just wants to complain about everything lately. This year has sucked. Mortensen has not.

    My point: you can't simply complain about everything. Looking at his numbers (including MiLB), he's getting better each year. It's not shocking that a pitcher is putting together his best season at age 27. Is he a long term option? No, but calling him "garbage" is just a misunderstanding of how you construct a team. No pitching staff has 12-13 All Stars.

    I still see 2013 as rebuilding mode. Therefore, the #1 doesn't matter. The "ace" is probably Buchholz at this point. Obviously, it will need to be someone better eventually.

    Marlins want way too much for the injury prone Johnson. I'd pass. I do think a pitcher like Marcum could help. My rotation would be: Lester Buchholz Marcum Lackey Webster/Barnes (whoever is better in ST)
