    I grew up a Dodgers fan as a young boy in Brooklyn. They broke my heart when they moved and I didn't choose another team until I visited Fenway in 2000 when I fell in love with that cathedral. I then asked for a test tube of dirt from the infield and cried. The aristocrats.

    Anyone with no ties to the organization would be fine with me. I don't really care for Hale, Mills, Farrell, etc. Though I'd give Beyeler consideration.

    Great, he can build ballparks. Doesn't seem he can build rosters though. How'd those O's and Pad's teams work out? The gm needs to be a talent evaluator first and foremost. Larry doesn't have that skill.

    And Lackey is basically a 2 year contract for like $17M due to a clause in his contract. This injury season added an extra season in which the Sox will shell out peanuts for him. No reason to sell low on him now.

    Elktonnick again making up stuff after the fact. The foundation of the deal was in place prior to the trade deadline and crafted by Ben. It must suck always having to fight off the truth in order to fit your personal grievances.

    And how would Cher Bear's comment change what BV would say anyway? BV leaving town is the least interseting thing that'll happen this offseason. He'll rip the team and FO will rip him. Who cares at this point? BV is far from a sympathetic figure in this situation.

    The Pats deserve to be 1-2 right now. The refs have been bad for both sides. Unless the real refs were being paid by the Krafts, it'd still be 1-2. Also, the field goal was good.

    To me "makes the team" isn't the same thing as being given a starting position.

    Yeah, having an athletic 5th OF who can be a defensive sub for all 3 OF positions would ruin the season...

    Cher-Bear builds a solid bullpen (would have been great if Bailey was healthy), has Doubront start, signs Ross, signs Shoppach (who was their best catcher this year), has WMB start at 3b, signs Pods (who revives career), but he apparently can't judge talent. Of the two major mistakes this year (BV and Bard starting), he's only at fault for one of them.

    I'm a Red Sox fan first and foremost. Couldn't give two shits about the Yankees. I want to see the Sox show some signs of improvement or hope for the future. I dislike the O's, Rays, Yanks and Jays the same.

    How many WS games did Nomar appear in? The 2001 team was a car without 4 wheels, a starter, an alternator, brakes, etc. Sure, there were good pieces, but it was in no way a finished product...
