  1. I’m not saying they need someone tomorrow, but they’d be better off looking sooner than later.
  2. @ByChrisMason On @WEEI, Cora says E-Rod should go on a rehab assignment on Monday, and expect Kinsler back on Friday.
  3. On the Puig stuff, the unwritten rules of baseball guys in the Giants clubhouse are just as annoying as Puig. Why can a pitcher throw a fit on the mound and not be called out, but a batter gets upset and the catcher has to intervene for some unknown reason? If Puig was white, I'm sure some people would call it playing with fire.
  4. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/index.ssf/2018/08/steven_wright_injury_red_soxs.html#incart_river_index "We had a conversation with him on Sunday," Cora said. "He's feeling a lot better than when he came back the first time. Kind of like knowing what he has to do to avoid lapses like this. He's been doing great in the weight room. He's been keeping his arm in shape. "I don't want to get ahead of myself but I do feel that he's going to be back at some point during the season," Cora added. "I'm not saying that's next week. But the way he's been working the last week, him getting on the mound for a few pitches it's telling us that it's going to happen. When? I don't know. But it's going to happen."
  5. Next time try to write better? Not sure how anyone could infer that from your rambling.
  6. Honestly, they need to find a younger replacement at 2b. I don't think Pedroia or Kinsler are the answer there.
  7. You didn't answer his question until you said the above bold words. You just went on a rant about WAR. You didn't say there wasn't a better one.
  8. It doesn't work that way. If he doesn't make it, it's on himself not DD.
  9. The Sox have 13 more wins than any other team in MLB. Right now is the perfect time to play Devers.
  10. THEY ARE 86-35 THO? C'mon man... If they end the season on a .500 streak starting today, they'll end up with 106 wins. Team record is 105. They haven't had 100 wins in 72 years.
  11. And how does his bat compare to Chavis'?
  12. Not sure Kelly is an 8th inning guy right now. He looked like one at the start of the season, but not anymore.
  13. That's the number for High School players. Much longer odds for little leaguers.
  14. Houck: Over last ten games: 3.36 ERA, 63 strikeouts, 19 walks in 56.1 IP
  15. Holt is not a great OF option. I don't think Swihart is here by the time Dalbec is ready. JD will probably opt out too. Also, just nice to have versatility.
  16. Well, now you know.
  17. Just falling to pieces at times is what Eovaldi does.
  18. Rather than start a new thread, here's Ben Zobrist talking about how he subscribes to my Robot Umps Now newsleter. https://deadspin.com/ben-zobrist-is-still-very-much-looking-forward-to-robot-1828345886 “I just basically said that’s why we want an electronic strike zone. And that’s what obviously got me tossed.”
  19. Dalbec is probably more likely to succeed than Chavis. One of them should start shagging flies in LF.
  20. Having 13 more wins than any other team in MLB will do that to you.
  21. This team is good.
  22. Some things are not important enough to make posts for.
  23. I like to pretend that Ohio doesn't exist either but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  24. It went missing a long time ago.
