    POINT @PeteAbe #RedSox stayed with 11 pitchers to keep Blake Swihart on the roster. So far in the postseason he has pinch hit in the 8th inning of a 16-1 game and played one inning in the field. They could sure use Hector Velazquez or Brian Johnson right about now. COUNTER POINT @billjamesonline If we weren't carrying Swihart we would be reluctant to pinch hit for a catcher. It is carrying Swihart that ENALBES us to pinch hit for the catcher.

    Ok: Ruling: it started because BW was complaining about the Machado complaints since baseball is wussified ("softening up the game too much"). S9 correctly guessed that BW was an anti-NFL snowflake. BW admitted to being an anti-NFL snowflake. So now here we are.

    Well, a catcher would be dumb to hold his glove in the exact spot he wants it thrown for 5 to 7 seconds. The batter would be able to know exactly where the ball would be thrown.
