  1. I have a Taco Bell giftcard burning a hole in my pocket. How long would it take you to get to the Taco Bell on Rte 2 in Warwick, RI?
  2. @SoxProspects Important upcoming dates: 11/2: Deadline to extend qualifying offers (expect Kimbrel to receive one) 11/3: Free agency begins 12/9-13: Winter Meetings
  3. The most recent sample is always more indicative of future performance than prior years. Don't get too much sand in your eyes while your head is down there!
  4. But he's not a C, he's a DH. Whatever helps you sleep at night tho. 697 OPS
  5. And the Sox haven't seemed to worry about it lately when a lot of people on here can't stop obsessing over it.
  6. I'm more into D Hernandez, Houck and Feltman. I think those guys could leapfrog the ones you mentioned in Spring Training.
  7. @jcmccaffrey Cora says if he's ready to go, Pedroia will lead off Opening Day next year. "He's earned it." Says that'll be the only game Mookie Betts won't lead off.
  8. Baseball America Top Ten https://www.overthemonster.com/2018/11/1/18051332/red-sox-top-prospects-dalbec-chavis-casas-groome-hernandez Bobby Dalbec Michael Chavis Darwinzon Hernandez Jay Groome Triston Casas Bryan Mata Tanner Houck Mike Shawaryn Antoni Flores C.J. Chatham Flores is the name to watch this year if you’re looking for a prospect with a chance to explode onto the national scene. Granted, I wouldn’t be expecting it in 2019, but the tools are there. The shortstop was part of the 2017 July 2 class and was a quick promotion to the GCL in his first pro season. Unfortunately, injuries cut his season short but the 18-year-old will be at full strength next year. Flores is a strong bat with a good chance to stick at shortstop and play the position well, and if his development goes well he could be at least a top three guy in this system by this point next year.
  9. i heard the beer thrower knelt will tossing the blue cans
  10. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/m/monteje01.shtml Yankees don't want to admit they've seen this before.
  11. 697 OPS for a DH that can't run for s***. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
  12. When Sanchez was Devers' age, he was still playing in Peoria in front of 50 people. Nice try though sport!
  13. DD's thoughts on the upcoming cliff
  14. Pitchers have caught up to him. Sorry, he sucks now. Just look at his last season. That's the rules. NEGATIVE OWAR DH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. @alexspeier Cora on getting hit by beer: ‘I’m good... You ask my daughter, she didn’t care... The kid didn’t mean to hurt anybody... We’re fine... I’ve just got to be ready to make that play the next time.’ Cora is too good for our s***** world.
  16. EFFF that noise. This is serious business. The "Dombrowski lied to us or doesn't know if his players are even injured" conversation from last offseason was something I'm not looking forward to revisiting.
  17. @JMastrodonato Luxury tax threshold not a limitation for Red Sox, Dombrowski indicates.
  18. Because "not anticipating" is the exact same thing as "100% certain no surgical procedures will be required."
  19. @jcmccaffrey Dombrowski: Wright is a good rotation option as long as we figure out what's going on with his knee. Doesn't have surgery planned, but needs to get it looked at again.
  20. @jcmccaffrey Also Dombrowski confirms Eduardo Nunez has accepted his player option and will remain in Boston.
  21. @alexspeier Dombrowski says the Sox have a group of young pitchers who they really like who will be in Double A next year, contributing to the sense that there is internal depth in the organization.
  22. @jcmccaffrey Dombrowski says they'll be sending qualifying offers to some of their free agents but aren't at liberty to say until MLB announces it on Friday.
  23. @jcmccaffrey Dombrowski says Sale just needs rest this offseason, not anticipating any type of surgical procedures necessary.
  24. @alexspeier Dombrowski says Sox like all 3 of their catchers. ‘I’d say it’s unlikely but not impossible that you have three guys... I’m not sure where that’s going to take us at this point.’ Implies team is open-minded about where it will go with Vazquez/Swihart/Leon.
  25. @jcmccaffrey Dombrowski says if they don't retain Kimbrel, Barnes and Brasier are candidates they'd consider for the closer role.
