  1. Dalbec hits better than Duran right now. Fields better than him too. Seems like they are going to keep Schwarber in LF for the most part going forward.
  2. Kiké 2b Schwarber LF Xander SS Devers 3b JD DH Verdugo CF Renfroe RF Shaw 1b Vaz C
  3. Duran optioned back to AAA.
  4. Just missed it. @RedSox The #RedSox today recalled RHP Tanner Houck from Triple-A Worcester. To make room for Houck on the active roster, the club optioned OF Jarren Duran to Worcester.
  5. Sox haven't posted lineup yet. No word on corresponding move for having Houck start.
  6. Nope, that's an A^4 lineup. Texas was running a 2A^2 lineup. Basically, they were combining two AA squads and forming a lineup to defeat the Red Sox.
  7. Running him out for a multiple inning stint is fine. I agree, Richards can't be thrown out there in the 9th.
  8. Speier is reporting today that Barnes' issues are due to locating his fastball. Barnes has said that he's leaving it out over the middle too much.
  9. https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2021/07/boston-red-sox-trade-kyle-schwarber-one-of-the-most-impactful-hitters-to-change-teams-excited-to-try-first-base-chaim-bloom-says.html Bloom said Boston traded for him with the expectation he would spend a couple more weeks on the IL.
  10. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/07/red-sox-to-acquire-kyle-schwarber-from-nationals.html he’s still a couple weeks away from returning
  11. I would have just simply started Shaw. He would have hit his grand slam earlier in the game and we could have run the Robles squad out there.
  12. A couple of days at most. He was going to be out at least 10 days regardless from what I remember. Maybe he missed an extra 3 games? Maybe? He also skipped any rehab games.
  13. He was fine in July which is also part of the 2nd half.
  14. No, scouts say he's too stiff now and less athletic. He's not good at 3b.
  15. The picking machine part was straight out of the book. It's one of the more memorable moments that also include Beane breaking s*** in the clubhouse and drafting Jeremy Brown.
  16. The set back was a brand new injury?
  17. I'm not worried about Barnes going forward. He's the same pitcher he has always been. He's the modern version of Bob Stanley.
  18. Twins are on the struggle bus now too. Sox need to put the Twins down.
  19. And some people thought Dalbec would be fine at 3b.
  20. And rosters expand on Sept 1. Can just call Valdez back up then. Maybe Brasier will be ready then too?
  21. I have no idea how they compute "Clutch" but it does seem to give some random results.
  22. He's a great player. The fit is kind of weird. If they agreed on the option, I'd be 100% in on the move.
  23. Xander has a negative Clutch number on Fangraphs. Devers is barely above water. Team Leaders in "Clutch" per FG: Arroyo Verdugo Marwin Dalbec Vaz Bottom Five Renfroe Kiké Bogaerts Plawecki Santana
  24. It turned out that Hatteberg was a picking machine tho.
  25. He's also on a third place team that is falling fast.
