I could see the Rays win the WS. Hard to see the Sox winning 3 straight series considering the rollercoaster this season has been. This doesn't mean that I don't think the Sox can beat the Rays. If they win won tonight, effectively splitting the Rays' homestand, Sox will be in a great position.

This isn't true because the Sox don't have to stay under the salary cap. Ownership can go over whenever they want to.

I wouldn't say incredible, but I'd say he definitely found some great value. Hard to complain when Yorke, Blaze, Mayer and Whitlock all appear to be great pipeline additions. I don't think the 2020 Sox were as bad as their record showed. Simple additions to the starting rotation really turned the record around. Overlooking thoughts on trading Betts, I don't see how anyone could grade him less than a B+.

Uh, I don't think this Sox team has ANY connection to 04 and 07. From 13, only Xander remains. Still hard to even compare 18 and 21.

Lowe 137 WRC+, 4.9 BSR Arozarena 128 WRC+, 1.5 BSR Fangraphs doesn't like that Arozarena is thrown out every third SB attempt.

@redsoxstats Tonight's Rays starter Shane McClanahan was the best college pitcher on the board when the Red Sox selected Triston Casas #26 in the 2018 draft. McClanahan went 5 picks later to Tampa.

MVP awards typically go to the player with the better offensive numbers. A lot of Semien's value rests in his defense. If you combine Ohtani's pitching and hitting, you get 8.1 fWAR. He's barely a top 20 fWAR guy for batting and worse for pitching. I could be sold on a few different guys for the MVP this season, especially since I don't care all that much about it.

It's not the same as "you said he wasn't added." As a teacher, I'm sure you'd appreciate the difference. The players that were included in the list were the ones that were already in question. Note that Darwinzon wasn't on the WC roster but was noted as "left off." We already were told that Sale would be the Game 2 starter.
