    I'm not sure the trade is worse because of the DFA. We already knew Downs sucked. Downs - bad Wong - backup catcher at best Verdugo - turned into LF only defender with average bat This is not an adequate haul for Betts even if you are getting salary relief.

    It's just kind of hypocritical that you get some info from sports radio, but then get down on others for doing the same. To each their own though.

    I think Duran, Seabold and DHern each have better trade value than what was dealt for Koss. Downs is veering close to a dump, but I wonder if the Sox just hold onto him for one more year and hope for the upside. Unfortunately, I have a hunch that we are going to be stuck with Brasier as the 13th BOS pitcher. I'm not a fan, but it could always be worse.

    I think they could dump any of those guys but Ort onto another team for a younger prospect. I believe that's how we have received guys like Koss in the past.

    We'll have to see. It's a gamble. If his talent was guaranteed to translate, his contract would be much higher. He signed at a discount due to the unknown.

    Senga. Players come from oversees almost every offseason. This isn't some abnormal situation. Sox gave Rusney 72M. I'm sure Yoshida will offer more value than Rusney did.
