You may not, but there are millions of Red Sox fans who truly hate the Yankees, and millions of Yankee fans who truly hate the Red Sox, specially some of the 30+ crowd fans. Let me tell you something, i never saw a bigger smile in my father's face than the first time we saw each other after the 2004 collapse, and let me tell you, he suffered the Bucky Dent walkoff, the '99 elimination, and the Aaron Boone walkoff. That's some genuine hatred towards the Yankees built up right there.

    Then, for discussion end's sake: There are 2 types of Yankee fan suffering: Those who despise the Red Sox like they banged their wives will think 2004 is the worst. Rational, none "hating the Red Sox is bigger than life" think 2001 is the worst because they were about to win a WS. Finding the middle point is fun.

    The debate is not about how Gom felt, because honestly nobody gives a f*** about that. I debate the 2004 loss was worse than the 2001 because of what i lived. I was at a sports bar with a mix of Yankee and Red Sox fans, and when that 27th out came around, i had never seen so many men crying their eyes out combined with so many screams of happines and joy. Just so you know, there is no way anything beats being the only baseball franchise in the history of ever to have lost a 7 game series after being up 3-0. The 2001 series, LMAO.
