  1. The f***? Well you're pretty left field, so excuse me for not taking everything you say with a grain of salt. You've said weirder stuff.
  2. Yeah, but he's not much more than a marginal upgrade, and Speedy Glovey McNoodlebats are a dime-a-dozen in the waiver wire, not to mention he's still just a marginal upgrade.
  3. It proves some ballplayers are creatures of habit, and sometimes don't perform up to their usual standards when taken off their familiar surroundings.
  4. Thing to note i hadn't realized: The kid whose not near Halladay's level is taking him to school on almost every major statistical category. And he actually leads the Doc in IP. lolironylol.
  5. I don't see the sarcasm. I simply pointed out the fact that giving up members of the current roster is not needed to acquire Felix, and that most likely, there aren't many players from the active roster that Seattle may want and we would be willing to give up. You need to look up the definition of sarcasm in the dictionary. You're using it wrong.
  6. Some players have had problems adjusting to either the lead-off spot or out of it. Give me a couple minutes, and i'll come up with Alfonso Soriano's numbers, he's the textbook example of BoSox's theory, it's not as left field as you may think.
  7. Run them up in the 8th vs 9th. Remember, when you rack up a hold, you do it in a save situation.
  8. Please, don't turn this into a shitfest J_E and a700.
  9. Do not fight this battle. You will lose. And be embarrassed. Felix is a 23-year-old Cy Young contender. Read it again slowly: 23. Cy. Contender. We're talking about the SP with arguably the best stuff in the Majors, the poise to use it, and is dominating the AL.
  10. No. What i'm saying is, you don't ship Papelbon off and hand the CL role to Bard. He has to earn it. He has better stuff, but he needs to prove he can harness it for prolonged periods. In other words, Bard has to run Papelbon out of town.
  11. You're being unreasonable. A) Seattle doesn't want high-priced veterans. B ) We have a farm system to avoid giving up established talent in trades. Your logic is faulty to the core.
  12. O Rly? Carlos Marmol says hello. 2.20 ERA as a SU man. 4.80 ERA in the CL role.
  13. I like this lineup.
  14. It was........Funny.
  15. Your closer, is not the "whatever full of fail statement you mentioned above", but the best reliever on your roster. And if you wanna make an argument that Daniel Bard is a better reliever than Jonathan Papelbon with his SSS of innings you will fail. Miserably.
  16. Yo! Calm down, old-timers!
  17. Maybe some of these people weren't fans on the days of Slocumb and the bullpen-by-committee. Papelbon is a proven closer, Bard is not, if you honestly think Bard can handle the closer role for next year you're kidding yourselves. And established closer is a key part of a championship-caliber team. Bard is filthy, but Paps is proven, so really, stop it with the ship Papelbon off pipe dreams.
