  1. 13,917 to be exact. A far cry from 03-04 when they were 16th in attendance and were drawing 16,544 per game. That's quite a lot of beans lost. Less beans to count.
  2. The site is not extremely active while there's no baseball.
  3. Eliminating teams is a messy proposition. It sounds a lot better in theory than how it would work in reality.
  4. He should be. His higher value, as far as the Red Sox are concerned, is in a corner, where he's a much better defender.
  5. We're talking about the Pacers. Reaching again.
  6. You're reaching. I never said the team should be disbanded.
  7. I never advocated for the discarding of the Pacers. I attacked suns' point that "basketball is big in Indiana". You're literally putting words in my mouth. In fact, i find the idea of discarding teams in the first place to not be a good one. I like basketball just the way it is, and i haven't stated otherwise.
  8. Suns' point is that Pacers basketball is big in Indiana. If they're not drawing people, then it's not that big. Whether if it was big not so long ago is inconsequential to the main point, as are the actual reasons for said lack of attendance.
  9. No. Unlike this statement, my statement was based on logic, and what the FO has demonstrated this off-season. Facts: 1) Lowell's range was greatly diminished last year, and both the stats and a keen observer eye could easily see that this is true. 2) The Sox were actively trying to shop him, eating 75% of his salary to boot, and that's because they don't see him as a solid defensive third baseman anymore. If it's not because they don't want him playing third, then why? 3) Your statement that i'm the only who thinks he's not a viable third baseman anymore is a fabrication on your part, since actions speak louder than words, and the fact that the Sox are both pursuing Beltre and trying to get rid of Lowell tells you, by using the smallest measure of logic, that they want someone else playing third base to start 2010. Please take the time to think thoroughly before making an assessment as ridiculous as that one.
  10. Opinion, meet logic.
  11. And so, love was born on TalkSox. TalkSox.com: Connecting people and changing lives since 2004.
  12. Replacement value difference over a corner outfielder and a CF is enormous. It's not a "bit" of a hit.
  13. He's not Adam LaRoche either so we can agree on this one.
  14. Both of them could still hit. And 1B =/= 3B defensively.
  15. Chamberlain was first in 2008 with Clay second.
  16. I should move to where you live.
  17. Phil Hughes was the best in 2007 and Chamberlain was the best in 2008. Saying that Hughes was the best pitching prospect for multiple years is incorrect.
