  1. Silence, you are an Guardians fan who was rooting for a Sox loss. Sustain your allegiances!
  2. Keep it civil, boys.
  3. Wonder what his opinion would be if it was a Sox pitcher, like, say, Beckett last year......
  4. Yes, but we're not talking about last year, we're talking about this year, how do you explain his current velocity dip?, and by the way, last year, Sabathia had an 0.7 HR/9 mark, which has doubled to 1.4 so far this year.
  5. Sucky Huffy. Slugfest in the making.
  6. I find it funny that Sabathia's last couple of starts are just being swept under the rug. No discussion at all, almost like people are afraid to discuss it. But looking at the trend over the last 6 games, there is definitely cause for concern. His start vs Boston looked good on paper, but it started a strange trend for a pitcher who has not been known to give up gopherballs. Over his last 5 starts, Sabathia has allowed 7 homeruns which is uncharasteristic for a guy who barely gives up any homeruns. Now I haven't watched every Sabathia outing, but i have seen some of them. And the spanish announcers were talking about a dip in velocity and it was reported again at foxsports.com that Sabathia was seeing a velocity dip. Is this just a blip on the radar, or is CC Sabathia facing an injury or some tired arm? Neither of those situations would be good for the Yanks who truly rely on CC to win every start he makes. I did find it kinda stupid that Girardi let him reach 113 pitches in the Cleveland outing. CC may not be handling the workload at this point. And, on the same night, we saw CC slide out of the Cy Young race for the time being. Discuss.
  7. Did you watch the videos? They're sweet.
  8. Cleveland's next top model mojo active as well: [youtube=Cleveland's next top model]vLodPZwVqYM&

  10. Teams draf out of need, then go for pure talent. Not always, but it happens, i told you in the other thread, and you don't know more about drafting than baseball organizations. It is what it is.
  11. But it depends on the extent of the damage and the damaged area.
  12. They found a way to fix the blisters, so maybe they'll find a way to fix his back, too. At least it's not arm trouble.
  13. Color me skeptical. He still puts way too many runners on base. And it's easy to look this good playing against Cleveland. I'm one of the big positivity guys on the board, but one has to be realistic. Dice-K is a low 4 ERA guy with his lack of control and low K tendencies. Beckett is a superior pitcher. In fact, Beckett, Lester, and Bucholz all have better stuff and control. Don't know how you can argue that.
  14. It's not about the "title" of ace, you goofball, it's about who's actually the best pitcher. Carmona: 3.53 ERA, 1.3 WHIP, 113 ERA+ Westbrook: 4.84 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 83 ERA+ How the hell is Westbrook the better pitcher here?
  15. We're not talking right now, but August, as you suggested. When Beckett gets back, he'll be above Dice-K on the depth chart. Doubt said development at your own risk. Dice-K's a powder keg. Don't let your sympathy for the guy blind you.
  16. Brentz is a sweet sweet pickup.
  17. You said "By August". By August, Beckett should be back, and manning the #2 spot in the rotation. After all, we are talking hypotheticals. There's a better chance of Beckett coming back and being Beckett than Dice-K continuing a run like this.
  18. Lol no. I doubt Bucholz loosens his grip on the number three spot in the rotation. Dice-K's still inconsistent, so hold your horses there, Nostra-Doiji.
  19. Lol, it's the Guardians. It would take a miracle for them to manage more than a split, specially since they had their best pitcher going up against the man suns described as "WALK" and flopped.
  20. You shut your mouth. You were the one talking s*** yesterday about how it was a "sure Guardians sweep". Red Sox rule, Guardians suck. Ahhhh, wins feel so good. Wonder if Guardians fans know how winning feels like.
