  1. Gathright is a very mediocre bunter.
  2. Well, Kotch does the minimum Let's see if Gonzo can do it again.
  3. Good thing we have a lefthander with little power hitting to our deepest outfield.
  4. OK, now we don't need to worry about the DP, or about running with Reddick.
  5. Napoli has a half decent arm. I wouldn't chance taking the tying run off the bases.
  6. Tell me he's not freaking leaving Kotchman in there.
  7. Tek is not a particularly good bunter.
  8. Who hits for A-Gon?
  9. Where is Victor Martinez?
  10. And guess-who up to bat. A little redemption too much to ask for tek?
  11. Yeah, that's... odd.
  12. And the Yankees have 'em juiced so they might take the lead.
  13. Thanks Tek.
  14. BEST WAIVER PICKUP EVER!
  15. Every team LaRussa has been credited with turning into pure awesome has either been directly linked to steroids, or directly linked to HGH.
  16. What's the difference betwee a move that doesn't work and a bad move?
  17. True, but don't ignore what everyone else has put together. When it's Victor Martinez behind the dish and Mike Lowell at third this lineup is easily as deep or deeper than the 2004 version. Where it loses is in explosiveness in the middle. First base, third base, second base, arguably right field, are all substantially better than the 2004 version.
  18. I agree with that. The most I'd offer for Hardy is Delcarmen. That said, Hardy is an upgrade over what we have now even if he DOESN'T bounce back, since he's an above average defender. So Hardy is still a guy I go after even if he isn't the quintessential perfect Boston hitter.
  19. Gameday says mostly 93. I dunno, he might have touched 95 when I wasn't paying attention. If so, that's huge. He was hitting that velocity when he first came to the states and during the period when he was at his most dominant and his loss of that velocity was a big reason for his faltering.
  20. Welcome back. I hope Daisuke can maintain this level of velocity. 91-93 should be enough to keep his offspeed stuff effective.
  21. Carlson needs 5 for fighting and an instigator.
  22. BRAWL!
  23. Veteran's play at 3B there.
