  2. Everyone knows that if Smoltz signed with the Yankees, Jacko would be gobbling his dick all day every day and gushing about how he's a health lock and will be the ace of that staff come September, and how that is another sign of the Yankees setting the win record in 09. Alas, he's on the Red Sox, so that just means Smoltz will be hurt and ineffective. /thread
  3. Oh that's what you meant... I thought both parts of that statement were about Harris, for some reason.
  4. Pretty needless signing by them, they were fine at the tackle spots. If they're worried about Williams' health, well Pace hasn't been the model of health lately either.
  5. I don't follow.
  6. Now the Bears are looking at Ken Lucas. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/30/bears-check-out-ken-lucas/
  7. Not deserving of its own thread, but from the weather reports I just peeked at, the Sox are gonna get their s*** rained out on Monday.
  8. I'm not worried about the defense. Bullocks should add some life at safety, and if I'm not mistaken Vasher was a big reason for a lot of the secondary's failures (early on at least), and things improved when he was benched. Urlacher's only 30, its entirely possible that he was hurt last year or just had a down season.
  9. Mostly injury insurance, though both Pace and incumbent Chris Williams have been struggling with injuries lately, so there's a reasonable chance that both could be down for a good period of time during the season. Signing Pace wasn't entirely necessary, the Bears already had a line of Williams/Beekman/Kruetz/Garza/Shaffer. Not the best line in the world, but far from the worst.
  10. How'd we do?? -I really screwed up the Cleveland and Atlanta predictions, as well as Indy and Sacto (the 8th seeds is usually where I mess up every year, since I have a tendency to go with previous-year losers that look like they've improved). -Told you guys that Phoenix sucks and that New Orleans would take a step back. Y'all laughed at me. -My Denver prediction is void since they got rid of the main problem (Iverson) for the perfect player (Billups) for what they needed. Detroit is also void, since I said at the time that was the worst on-court move they could have possibly made.
  11. The idea is to get a new stadium before your old one caves in, not after.
  12. I can't really rag on Gom since I made this mistake too, but...
  13. Awesome jerseys are awesome. Figures that the year when we get new road s*** is the same year that we open the season at home for the first time in forever.
  14. Don't forget the Bucs... we won with Brad f***ing Johnson.
  15. I'm so glad the Bills don't play the Cowboys this year.
  16. ^ Ouch
