  1. Whichever's cooler between a hat and a sweatshirt.
  2. Santana's now a victim of elbow surgery. No small deal for a pitcher. The Mets might try to ship him out if he doesn't recover in the provided timetable. With their situation, I doubt they'll want contracts like that just sitting there on their payroll, while giving nothing back on the field. Not probable, but possible.
  3. I could see it with Beltran. He is nearing the end of his contract (I believe), so he could be an attractive option for other teams. Moreso than anyone else the Mets would realistically look into trading. They are in dire straits financially, so more guys could be available than we think (not Wright, Reyes is doubtful).
  4. Wow, you guys work fast.
  5. How come no one ever calls me funny? The hell with you all.
  6. Pick for me, I don't feel like doing any research. I don't care who makes however many selections I have left.
  7. Yeah I read the GT after making that post.
  8. White Sox broadcasts are f***ing horrible. Hawk Harrelson might just be the dumbest man involved with baseball in some manner. The rest of those goons aren't far behind.
  9. I remember being 13 years old and hating the Yankees unconditionally, even if them winning would boost our playoff chances and we would be better off in the long run.
  10. If he lost his rotation spot, what good is he? Should've just dumped him and made him someone else's problem.
  11. Wouldn't be surprised if Papelbon's dumbshit comments factored into it. Still can't believe he said that.
  12. Oh well. I wanted him, but this isn't a big blow.
  13. No, a 'troll' is someone whose primary objective when posting is to incite ******** and bait other posters. In the sports forum context, it is someone who roots for a team other than the one being discussed, often a rival. The troll in question will also post negative, unrealistic crap about the team the site is dedicated to, always try to rain on parades, take the absolute worst case scenario and pass it off as logical and likely, and accuse others (the fans of the team the forum is dedicated to) of unrealistic optimism. Stuff that would be looked at as 'o noez sky is falling' material if it came from one of those fans. You fit that description perfectly, at least at the moment. EDIT: length of tenure has absolutely nothing to do with it. You can be a troll and not get banned, because all your s*** can be perfectly subtle or you can just counterbalance it with other crap, such draft and Yankee discussion.
  14. This one is more a silly panic statement, and a tired one, than anything else.
  15. Don't you think if anyone was actually concerned about this, a thread would have already been started? Maybe precedent would speak for itself? If an actual Red Sox fan sees a troubling trend or something he doesn't like, they tend to make threads about it. Terrific. This has little to do with Beckett. Beckett wasn't even the cy young frontrunner to begin with. This was just your way of bringing outside matters, ones that have no actual bearing on the team's ultimate success (in this case, end of season awards) into the picture to subtly get your Yankee ballwashing quota in.
  16. We're not addressing the topic honestly because we don't take your dreams/theories of a Beckett implosion very seriously, not the mention the original post is full of Yankee fan troll speak, such as 'people are afraid to discuss it', and 'CC is now ahead of Beckett in the cy young race'.
