Funny that this stuff about Hanley has come up. I'm not going to pretend to be an expert, but I think I know a little bit of what the problem is here. Back during March I was talking with one of my best friends. His cousin (Brett Sinkbeil) pitches for New Orleans, the Marlins AAA club and probably has a nice future with the team. He has been around Hanley quite a bit in spring training and has some close friends on the team in Chris Volstad, Josh Johnson, Dan Uggla, etc. According to what Brett told him, there aren't a whole lot of guys who really like Hanley a whole lot, mainly because he walks around with an attitude like he is God's gift to the game of baseball. I don't think it's a money/jealousy issue, but I could be wrong on that. But the main thing is, if you're acting like you're significantly better than everyone around you that act will grow tired real quick. There's no doubt Hanley is a prolific talent, but you can't just go around acting superior to the rest of the guys you're around almost every day for 7-8 months. I'd be willing to bet this is all true.

I'm pretty excited for the Dan Mullen era, although I know we're going to be lousy this year. We seriously have not had a respectable offense since I was a little kid, back around '99 and '00. Sad but true. I'm not sure how good the offense will be this year, but at least we will have something that resembles one running the spread instead of the constant conservatism crap that we had under Croom. We're on the right track. Play @ Auburn next week actually so we'll see what it's like to play against a good SEC defense.

Memphis = incompetent You can't overlook the fact that Ole Miss has Houston Nutt as their coach. That alone should make them overrated.

Ole Miss has looked horrible in the 1st half @ Memphis. Unfortunately, Memphis is an absolute joke and sucks ass. Their offensive schemes and execution in general is on about a 7th grade level. Everything is so basic. Oh well. Go to hell Ole Miss.

There isn't a team in the NFL I would rather trade a player to and get a draft pick back than the Oakland Raiders. It's a 2011 pick, so it very well could be in the top five range and make this deal look great down the road.
