  1. I'm about to move back to college in around a week, so I'm planning on getting it. What's the best package to go with for the final two months? I thought I'd just buy it by the month for $20 each, but apparently there's a better deal out there for the rest of the season? Also, how do you get it on your PS3, RSFFL? I have Netflix on there but that came with it.
  2. And take away the only AL East punching bag left? No thanks.
  3. Slow GT tonight... Watching this offense hit day in and day out is really enjoyable, I have to say. Good to get this one with the Miller/Buehrle mismatch tomorrow.
  4. Crawford out with a sore elbow. He said he should be back in the lineup tomorrow night.
  5. Pittsburgh is in the middle of a freaking pennant race. Inexscusable.
  6. He kills the ball regardless of where he's hitting. Keep him #2 and getting on at a .400+ clip in front of Gonzalez.
  7. I suggest possibly some minor tinkering but nothing major. That's what I think will ultimately happen anyway. As currently constructed we have the second best record in MLB, and we'll be getting Buchholz back within the next month. Once we get to the playoffs in the ALDS we'd only have to throw three starters anyway, and I'd take my chances any day with Beckett/Lester/Buchholz. If we get to the ALCS that could be a bit of a problem finding a #4 starter, but cross that bridge when (if) we get there. As for Felix, I would absolutely go after him if Seattle was interested but I don't think they have any intentions of trading him even though things are extremely bleak there right now.
  8. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c214/msubulldogs21/pirates.jpg This is much, much worse than Jim Joyce last year. Unfathomable how this can even happen. I'm still pissed. The Pirates are my second favorite team. A distant second, but still.
  9. No thanks on Ubaldo. With him having a nice contract for Colorado for several years, it makes me wonder why they're even shopping him to begin with. I think that's a legitimate question. Also, unless it's a Cliff Lee type an NL pitcher coming over to the AL (especially the AL East) terrifies me. The haul Colorado is wanting for Ubaldo would totally not be worth it from our perspective, and we just traded away several of our top prospects for Gonzalez within the last year. Obviously that's the type of deal when I feel giving away top prospects is clearly worth it, but this one I don't think so. Why pillage the farm system now?
  10. Then get another job. You don't do something like that. Pittsburgh losing on some bush league garbage call like that is absurd.
  11. I know the term gets thrown around a lot, but that was seriously one of the worst calls of all time. I am utterly amazed at how you can possibly miss that. Unbelievable. That really pisses me off.
  12. When he came into the game tonight I believe we were down 6-5, and my first thought was "Nice, Aceves should give us some good innings while we work over KC's pen to take the lead and not look back". And that's exactly what happened. It's nice to have a lot of confidence in your relievers, something a lot of teams can't say. I feel the same way about Albers.
  13. Pirates 3, Braves 3 - Top 13 Come on Buccos
  14. That would be women's sports for the most part. Thankfully by the grace of God every now and then we get an Alex Morgan or Jenny Finch, but most of them are just repulsive. I think Alex Morgan is the hottest female athlete on the planet... and I definitely don't follow women's sports, but if there's someone out there who can rival her I'd like to see it.
  15. Aceves is awesome. I was actually really surprised we started him off at Pawtucket this season because I remembered how good he was for the Yankees a few years ago. Jacko, why exactly did NYY let him go again? What happened there?
  16. I'm really liking what I'm seeing from Reddick. Now that Crawford is back and Ortiz will be back off his suspension on Friday, Reddick needs to be playing consistently in RF and bench Drew. It certainly looks like Drew has slipped a lot offensively and I don't think he's going to return to the player he was from recent years, so play Reddick in RF and keep the hot bat in the lineup.
  17. Paul Maholm had another great performance today vs Chicago: 7 2/3, 4 H, 1 ER, 8 K Wish he could've cracked the all star team...
  18. Did you watch the World Cup last year? It's pretty clear FIFA is going to go all out in both men's and women's to make sure the US doesn't get a fair shake. It's pathetic how the officials just happen to consistently miss calls against us time and time again in these World Cup matches.
  19. Welcome Tyler If you have a baseball question or something just ask
  20. Dan Wheeler has done a really nice job since coming off the DL
