  1. Aaron Hill doubles off Farnsworth to give the Jays a 2-1 lead.
  2. Nice play by Hill to end the inning there. 1-1 heading to the 8th.
  3. This is getting hard to watch.
  4. Nothing will happen to Vick. He is a professional athlete.
  5. Well, the A's did by getting rid of Kendall. I don't know what the Cubs were thinking. He's awful.
  6. Nice win tonight. Can't say enough about Gabbard's performace. He even set a career high with 8 K's. In a perfect world, Gabbard would continue to pitch well and stay in the rotation, Schilling would come back with a 2nd half surge, and Tavarez would go to the pen.
  7. Troy Glaus just went deep for the 2nd time tonight. 4-3 Yankees.
  8. Hopefully we can take care of business not only tonight, but for the rest of this homestand against these AL Central bottomfeeders. The Yankees next three series are 4 vs Toronto, 4 vs Tampa Bay, and 4 @ KC so if we want to maintain this lead we need to start playing good baseball again. This week is the perfect time to get on a roll.
  9. Today's game sure was frustrating, but at least we have the next 7 at home vs KC and Chicago. At the minimum we should take 5 of 7.
  10. 3 outs to go. Not looking good with the bottom of the order due up in the 9th.
  11. Upton has already made 12 errors at 2B, so the D-Rays are trying him in the OF to see if he's a better fit there.
  12. I wouldn't count on the D-Rays 'pen to hold this lead (especially with Al Reyes still on the DL), but it's wishful thinking.
  13. Sweet. Make it 2-1. Lets go Manny! Tie it up here!
  14. That Super Regional against Clemson was unbelievable. We had 13,000+ in attendance (more than the other three SR's combined) and even more would've been there, but it was so packed they actually stopped selling standing room only tickets. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there for those games, but it was the best college baseball atmosphere I have ever seen in my life. We love our Diamond Dawgs. Getting to Omaha was great - not bad for a squad picked to finish dead last in the SEC. And as for Vandy, the only sport they aren't good at these days is football. Their baseball program has become one of the nation's elite, and they had a very nice NCAA Tournament run in basketball. I'll be glad to talk some SEC football too. Also, thanks for the compliments guys.
  15. Hey everyone, my name is Josh. I'm 17 years old and about to be a senior here in Blytheville, Arkansas. As you can probably tell from my username, I'm a die-hard Mississippi State fan because my grandfather played basketball there years ago. I love MSU very much, and have followed my favorite player Jon Papelbon since his college days, which made it even sweeter when he landed with the Red Sox. I have been a Red Sox fan since I was a little kid. Everyone in this area (Northeast Arkansas) loves the Cardinals and for some reason they just never appealed to me. St. Louis is actually my second most hated team, behind the Yankees of course. My dad and I do get a lot of crap being the only Red Sox fans here, but that World Series sweep of the Cardinals in 2004 was pretty amazing. Most St. Louis fans are also incredibly stupid, by the way. Anyways, I'll wrap this up. This looks like an awesome Red Sox community and I look forward to contributing on here for years to come. If yall have any questions, just ask. - Josh
