  1. Welcome
  2. Cleveland State also upset Butler. CSU is actually a pretty dang good team. Wouldn't shock me to see them play somebody really close and maybe upset them in the tournament. Their win just took away a bid for one of the bubble teams.
  3. Austrailia just ABUSED Mexico 17-7. The men from down under pounded out 22 hits! Holy crap.
  4. Youk has been killin', and Adam Dunn just hit a moonshot HR.
  5. You're right, the SEC will get four teams in. You've got LSU, Tennessee, and South Carolina for sure, then maybe Auburn or Florida. It just so happens that the winner of the Florida/Arkansas game (which certainly should be Florida) plays Auburn in the quarters. The winner of that game, IMO, gets that spot in the NCAAT.
  6. Yeah, it's all opinion, but if Auburn can win a game in the SEC Tourney (they got the West 2 seed which results in a 1st round bye) I think they definitely deserve a bid. Their wins over LSU and Tennessee are looking pretty good right about now too. And yeah, I'm an SEC homer, but if we're going to let in teams like Michigan, maybe Ohio State or Minnesota, Auburn should get in as well. They've also played extremely well down the stretch. 8-1 in their last 9 games.
  7. No Auburn? I know the SEC is not that good, but they've quietly had a good season. They deserve a bid, IMO, and if they can win just one game in the SEC Tournament I think they get it. Jeff Lebo has done a great coaching job with them.
  8. Isn't that a given though? CUSA sucks balls enough to begin with and the tournament is at the Fedex Forum. For the #1s I think you've got Pitt, Memphis, UNC, and whoever goes farther in the Big East Tournament between Louisville and UConn.
  9. UNI wins a thriller 60-57 in OT! That was awesome.
  10. The game winner he allowed with 6 minutes to play was absolutely inexcuseable. NY flipped the puck behind the net on the left side and for some reason he did a weird spin move type thing (to the left of the goal), leaving the right side of the net wide open. The puck bounced around to to the right side directly to the Rangers and it was an easy goal. It was hard to watch.
  11. Didn't get to see the game but looks like we got off to a terrible start and never could catch up.
  12. Missouri Valley Championship on CBS right now. Northern Iowa leads Illinois State 37-34 with 10 min to play. Gotta love "Arch Madness".
  13. Cool. So you predict who you think will be in the NCAAT? Or wait until it's announced then analyze it? That Morehead State/Austin Peay game tonight was awesome. Double OT thriller. I was just at the Sommet Center a few weeks ago.
  14. The USA/Canada game was really exciting today. I thought Putz was about to blow it in the 9th. Canada is a sneaky good team. They are a little thin with pitching depth, but their lineup is solid. Bay, Morneau, Martin, Votto, Teahen, Stairs, etc. I still can't get over the Netherlands beating the DR. Somewhere BSN07 is sending a victory pm to DipreG.
  15. Is anyone as stoked about Championship Week as I am? This is absolutely the best time of year. March Madness and baseball right around the corner. I have the Directv Sports Pack, which means practically every game of every conference tournament is on somewhere. And I'll watch anyone and everyone. Automatic bids: Cornell, Radford, East Tennessee State Austin Peay and Morehead State are playing in the Ohio Valley Championship right now on ESPN2.
  16. Hahaha, who is that anyway? No one actually came forth and said that was their team. Overall I'm pretty happy with how my team has rebounded. I think it all stems from hiring Gus Johnson as coach about a month into the season after getting off to a terrible start. He's really turned it around for us. Coming into this week in my last 9 matchups I'm 8-0-1. Currently in 5th and hoping to hold on to one of the final playoff spots.
  17. This guy: http://www.ualrtrojans.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=35720&SPID=2823&DB_OEM_ID=7400&ATCLID=1245143&Q_SEASON=2008 He's a high school friend of mine. I can remember him going toe to toe against Tyler Hansbrough in a few epic high school games several years ago. He's only 6'4'', but plays and especially rebounds like he's about 6'10''. Just a really good all around player who helps out in just about every category. You remember him? UALR also has a player named Matt Mouzy who I saw play plenty of times against us in high school as he was in the same conference. He's that little white kid who shoots all the 3s. Solid player. In terms of the SBC Tournament I think there's 6 teams who could win it: 1st class - Western Kentucky, UALR 2nd class - Troy, North Texas 3rd class - South Alabama, Middle Tennessee (probably longshots)
  18. Yeah I was thinking that too. If you're going to storm the court, at least do it when you beat a legit team. That looks kind of bad doing it against a fairly decent Illinois team.
  19. That was unreal. What a win for Penn State.
  20. Hey Crespo, I know you're a UNT guy... how much do you keep up with Sun Belt basketball? One of my friends just won the Defensive Player of the Year award. He's at UALR. They've had a really good season this year and back home we're all really proud of him.
