  1. I have always used this avatar. What is your problem Jackson? I just want to talk baseball.
  2. Did you guys catch Dice-K's act yesterday? Looks like he will be killing leftys all year with that picth that starts in and breaks away from the hitter. Dude looks sick, and I think he is still holding back until the season starts.
  3. I know, I am just having a little fun since it is a slow day at work. I think both teams have a chance to do something big this year. I am just getting tried of hearing how great the AL East is for people that do not stay up late enough to catch all the games taking place on the west coast. The NL west has 3 teams loaded with pitching, the D-Backs have a ton of young players just like the Dodgers and Rockies, and SD is going to be tough with all of its pitching. The wildcard winner will come from the NL West, and if you were to drop the Yankess or the Red Sox into the NL West their records will the same or worse. The NL West is more wide open and just about ever team in the division has solid starter to anchor the rotation.
  4. How many rings have the Sox won since women were given the right to vote?
  5. And if my aunt had balls she would be my uncle. If Wilson would have just struck out you would have won it all in 86. Granted the last Dodgers ring was in 88, and they did beat a very poor A's team that could have been rolled by any NL team that is over .500, but to say the Dodgers would only win 70 game in a division with Tampa Bay and Baltimore is a joke. btw, do any of you guys remember who the A's beat to get into the world series in 88? The team keeps slipping my mind.
  6. All that spending and the Blue Jays still had a better year.
  7. Did Drew's team last year have a better record then the Red Sox?
  8. Wow, someone throws the Bo-Sox a cookie for the first time in 86 years you act like they are the second comming of the Boston Celtics. & where the hell did you come up with the assessment that the other team in LA is better? Are you going off of playoff records? Or maybe number of rings? Or is it just last years record? Please let me know how you came to the conclusion that the Angels are a better team. Ohh, it is 82 Degrees outside today, and tomorrow calls for another day of great weather. Let me know when it gets up to 40 in boston.
  9. I don't think the Sox will make the SW so this will not be happening. Unless the Sox nut up and overcome JD Drew Disease. Remember no team has ever made it to the SW with JD Drew on its roster.
  10. Who said it mattered? Did anyone say it mattered? Why do you guys feel the need to defend something that does not matter?
  11. $20 Bill pointed out the result of today’s ST game, and filled in some stats of the game. I thought it was in poor taste that he left out the great JD Drew walked even though he went 0-2 in the game. You guys need to chill out, for God sakes it is only a ST game. The Red Sox are still in the hunt, and the last time I checked we are still tied for first place in the AL East.
  12. The NL west was stacked with pitching last year. The D-Backs were led by Webb who has the best sinker in baseball. The giants had Schmitt, and Cain, and San Diego was also very deep on pitching. The Dodgers had Penny, Lowe, Bills, and Maddux. How the hell are the D-Rays going to have a chance if they cannot score any runs? Yeah, and if Kazmir was heathy he would not be Kazmir. That is like saying if JD Drew was heathy he will become the next Ted Willams.
  13. Serious question, you guys really think Drew will stay off the DL, and go all out in the field? I think Barbaro has a better chance of running in the Breaders Cup then Drew playing a full season. Drew played in 146 games last year, but he only started 131 games. Are you guys willing to give him a pass to miss one month of the season for 14 million to watch him jog to flyballs, and protect his shoulder?
  14. hmm, have you seen my screen name?
  15. Does that picture really look like it was taken from 1982? I don't know if it is a picture of Fred, but I did find it with Google when I searched for "Cowboy". First you call me a chick because I have two teams, now you are calling me a dick because I used google to find my avatar.
  16. RSR: Please see the post from Fred below.
  17. Really? The way the Mets played last year left a sour taste in my mouth. I ended up pulling for the Cards after they got past the Mets.
  18. To tell you the truth, my NL team is the Mets and my AL team is the Red Sox, but I am a much bigger Sox fan. What about you Freddie?
