Damn. Toronto scored 5 in the 9th so far to tie up the game, they now have the bases loaded with just one out. I can't imagine a way Tampa gets out of that.
Something is wrong with Hallady. Only lasted 3.1 innings, giving up 7ER AGAIN! Toronto just tied it up, scoring 5 in the 9th so far. 11-11 God Tampa Bay can't pitch.
I don't understand why Tito wants Youk to be in the 5 spot. Youks strength is getting on base. Lowell's strength so far has been driving in runs and power. I personally like a lineup of
Youkilis
Pedrioa
Ortiz
Ramirez
Lowell
Drew
Vtek
Lugo
Crisp
But anywho, I'm glad to see Pedroia in the top of the lineup.
I still can't get over Ortiz missing the go-ahead HR by a foot. We need a win tonight to wash away the distaste of that and Arods game winning HR.
WIN, f***ERS!
David Ortiz is going to go deep at least once tonight. He looks like his legs are feeling good, hitting a HR in the first inning, then missing the go-ahead HR in the 10th by a foot (400ft to straight center). I think he's going to have a big series.
The fact that the game was soooo close is good news. We had NO right winning this. We JT, a sub 5 starter against the best pitcher in the AL (maybe MLb). I'm not reading to much into this loss. A tired team with the best 2 relievers not available and we came that close. I don't think our season is slipping away.
I have a question. Say Snyder dropped the ball, but because Buck stepped on his foot and not the bag, they were still able to recover and get the force out at first, would the run crossing the plate then not count because of the force out?
