    Schil, I'm pretty sure MDC or Timlin could have given us 1 inning without giving up more than 3 runs. Hell, I don't think either of them have given up more than 3 runs during any single outing thus far. Theres a reason why a save situations is a 3- run lead. And yes, Paps went into the game in the 8th in a save situation and he would still get the save, but for christs sake, you don't need your best pitcher to win a 4-run game with only 1 inning to go.

    I'm sorry, I don't think its smart to use your dominant closer in a 4 run lead during the first game of a DH. Its just f***ing stupid. And now your looking at the consequence. I saw this coming the second Tito let Paps go back out into the 9th earlier today.

    This is Tito's fault. Gagne has SUCKED since joining the sox. Putting Paps out in the 9th during the day game when we had a 4 run lead was a BAD move. If Tito had saved him like I wanted, he could have closed the night game and we probably would have won the game by now. Tito can't manage a game.

    When did defensive indifference first appear? I just don't get it. Even late in a game, wouldn't you still want to try to get any out you can, be it a pick off, thrown out, etc? Plus with a runner on 1st, you have a force out at 2 bases. Letting them take second now only gives you the force at 1st. I just don't get it.

    Yea, thats what I don't like. If its a normal game, fine. But with a DH, I'm looking to save as many relievers as possible. Certainly the best for when they are most needed.

    Am I the only person who believes that closers should only be used in a close (3 runs or less) game? Especially a DH.

    If we blow a lead after Beckett leaves tonight, I'm gonna throw up and aim at Tito. MDC should be on the mound right now.

    No s***. He started 2-0. When you start 2-0 with the bases loaded with a pitcher who can't find the zone and has not much stuff today, you should kill the ball or walk, not hit a weak grounder for a DP.

    Looks like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. JD must have some REALLY weak genes. His son is becoming just as fragile as him. On a more serious note, that is scary what happened to his son, I hope all goes well.

    I didn't really go on a break, i just haven't been here in a bit. I was at the game 2 nights ago, the Beckett loss. First row about 15 feet the the left of home plate.
