  1. quadriplegic elephant? LOL, I might use that one
  2. Adrian Beltre gets a bronze star in my book. He has absolutely no reason to push himself right now. He's put up a ridiculously productive season, he's an impending FA in a class that is devoid of any average 3bs, let alone one of Beltre's caliber, and the sox really are out of it. Yet, he runs hard at all times even with obviously injured legs. He's a warrior.
  3. People like to look at his overall numbers, but your overall numbers arent the best way to evaluate the player. If one aberrant season skews the stats, then it isnt representative of the actual value since each season is separate. If you figure, that for the 4 seasons he has been in Boston, only 1 season have the sox actually gotten production and durability. He has had 2 seasons of below average production and one season of solid production but the sox needed to turn to the backups 53 times that yr. I am sorry, but missing 1/3 of a season isnt a good thing.
  4. Drew will enter his 5th and final season with the sox. His first and his 4th have been disappointments sans one grand slam in the playoffs. He missed 53 games in his second season but was productive in the 109 he did play in. His third season is the only season he has truly earned his paycheck. .914OPS, 137 games. Aside from that, either he's been underproductive or hurt. He has NOT been worth the cost
  5. sox got some help there. Jones should have had a double
  6. Teixeira is on fire. Now, get Hughes through 5 so he can win #16 and take this one to the bank
  7. As the best record left out of the playoffs, you'll get the 21st pick in the draft, assuming you dont make any signings
  8. WTF? Hughes, seriously. He sets up batters perfectly, then he throws all fastballs out of the zone. THROW THE f***ING CURVE OR CHANGE. The curve is a good pitch.
  9. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100831&content_id=14136590&vkey=news_milb&fext=.jsp Melky Mesa named FSL POY
  10. So did Moseley. The point stands, Vazquez was throwing harder and his curve looked sharper than it has in awhile
  11. I think Vazquez showed enough to take over Moseley's spot in the rotation
  12. Who'd a thought Thames would be the best offseason pickup? He crushed another one
  13. Moseley sucked ass, but the Yankees hit a good pitcher and are up 8-4
  14. I think he's been lucky to be as low as he has it. See his BABIP
  15. Lackey showed up small again. 2 run lead and he just couldnt hold it
  16. You have 3 guys in your offense, if they get shut down, then your offense is shut down
  17. Pena goes ya-ya. I should be rooting for the sox, but I just cannot seem to do it
  18. He is, but he isnt being used enough for CY contention, IMO. A lot of weight goes into workload, wins and team success
  19. Nope, they just let him go
  20. Not bad here http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/llws10/news/story?id=5509918 Replay used 16 times, 8 overturned calls with the games lasting less than a minute longer.
  21. The White Sox did not pull Ramirez back and he was awarded to Chicago in a straight waiver claim
