  1. Swisher and Gardner are out due to injuries to their knee and wrist respectively. Time to just focus on locking down the wild card. If we bust ass and win the Division, but lose Swish and Gardner for the playoffs, then we are toast. If we rest up our guys and go into Minnesota healthy, then I think we have as good a shot as any to win the whole thing
  2. He doesnt seem to be big league caliber yet. He should start in AAA in 2011 and work from there. The kid seems to find it, get promoted, lose it then find it again at the higher level a yr later.
  3. Lowell is getting his farewell tour. It's a nice gesture by the sox, although I do agree with Dojji. This extra month could be better utilized by trying to build up some trade value for Lars
  4. It sounds like the sox are picking up Papi's option
  5. The way Girardi is managing seems he doesn't care about the division. His goal seems to be keeping everyone rested. Hope it doesn't backfire on him
  6. Well that sucked, good thing I can't watch the games for another day. They've sucked
  7. RBI walk! Sweet. Tex and ARod at 100RBI
  8. Weak tapper. Who'd a thunk it
  9. 2-1 pitch in the dirt and he swings. Cmon Jeter
  10. Jeter is almost swinging like he's afraid to K rather than make solid contact
  11. He's such a goddamn enigma. Some innings he moves his fastball in and out, changes speeds, drops curves in the backdoor and looks like a 2008 version of Mussina. Then in other innings, he thinks he's a power pitcher, elevates a 89mph fastball or throws get me over curves and gets bombed. If he remembers that he's lost about 5mph on his fastball, then maybe he'll be useful BTW, I am predicting weak tapper by Jeter
  12. Now continue doing that Javy. Javy still thinks he's a power pitcher. If he slows down his breaker like he does there, he'll be very effective
  13. 0.30ERA, BUMS!
  14. Thames! Cervelli! Sweet
  15. There must be an umpire conspiracy here. Kinsler was out by a goddamn mile.
  16. I dont think the Yankees are gonna hit the ball hard. His pitches are moving so much that his catcher cannot catch it. He's nasty, we need to run up the pitch count and get him out of there
  17. Yankees got screwed there. A wild pitch that ricochets back to the catcher and a 3-1 strike call on a pitch well out of the zone with the sacks packed. Wilson's pitch count is up, but that sucked a lot
  18. Actually, I think you could do a lot better as a Plan C. He isnt ready. If Scutaro needs surgery and Lowrie gets hit with a ravaging vaginitis, then you could ruin the progression of a fringe prospect. At best, he's a marginal big league infielder with the potential to be a big league starter
  19. He didnt look bad last inning, but he always seems to be one pitch away from getting out of it or putting his team out of it
  20. 7 more dominant innings from our kids. Banuelos is nasty
  21. why do I have a feeling that Vazquez is gonna get shelled?
