Exactly. This was a poor, poor move. Essentially, the Yankees released him due to spite, since they were pissed he broke his collarbone bicycling. Instead, he goes to Boston and gives them a much needed 6th and soon to be 5th starter. I've always liked Aceves, even when people on this site killed him while in pinstripes since he doesnt get a lot of K's and just gets by on command. But he will give you innings and get outs, which is the name of the game
