    Looks like the winds wont be as powerful up in Mass as initially projected. They said 100mph 2 days ago, now it's down to 65mph. Still strong winds, but not strong enough to destroy strip malls, lol. The rains will be interesting. I am not worried about flooding in my house since it's a newer build and sits atop a hill, but I would bet all our streets will be flooded

    Yes it would. There would be substantial risk, but the reward might be worth it. If he stays with the sox for the next 20 yrs, racks up another 2 titles or so and puts a playoff caliber team out there every yr, he's a HOFer. But, if he goes to the Cubs and somehow wins a title, he'd be a HOF candidate right now. Let's just throw a theoretical out there. If Theo left the sox to go to the cubs, would you all be mad at him or wish him well? And a second theoretical. If Theo came back to beantown as the GM of the cubs, would you boo him or buy him a drink?

    Theo's model has worked for a long suffering fan base. He can make mistakes and absorb them with the big payroll, he plunged millions into the draft and created a sustainable team for the next 5-10 yrs. Theo is a very good to great GM. He would be atop the badass scale if he were the GM for the sox AND the cubs when their historic championship droughts are ceased

    The game was given away in a 6 out span. We had 1st and 3rd no out in the bottom of the 7th and we couldn't get one measly ball to the OF. Then, with 1 out in the top of the 8th, a tiring CC was left in to face Scott Sizemore, who demolishes Ledford and already had 2 sharp hits off CC. The sad thing is that Girardi had KRob warm and he even went out to the mound prior to the AB. Trust your damn instincts Joe.

    The Rox got two ace level prospects AA or higher for a pitcher they sold high on. My guess is they want a good veteran to lead their young staff. And Wandy has been better than Ubaldo thus far this season

    My Giants are doomed. Secondary is weak to begin with and now our best corner is done for the yr with an ACL tear. f***ing great. Another yr of 9-10 wins and nothing to show for it is coming up

He got lucky with Cruz, as he left a cookie up and he swung through it. But Napoli got him. He never should have faced Napoli, IMO, and I said as much

    My completely finished 800 square foot basement with a 50 inch flat screen, pool table, bathroom, beer fridge, cpu and desk. It's pretty nice being out of residency

    Once again, a highly relevant and useful post. I just cannot keep up. And the lack of personal attacks, man, you're good. If I wanted to go the suns route, I'd drink a fifth of vodka, jump in a flaming lake, have sex with my sister and then perform a labotomy, then I'd almost be suns level.

    I was surprised he was able to get through Cruz by throwing letter high meat to him. Napoli wasnt so generous. He's left a fair amount of good pitches to hit in the zone and Napoli finally made him pay
