  1. Oh well, enjoy the end of the season. No logic can be taught to you
  2. iortiz with the voice of reason. It's all about your rotation. Yes, the sox offense is solid, but if they are down a 4 spot early, they wont be as good as they would be if their pitcher actually threw a gem. The next 3 pitchers are going to be Wakefield, Lackey, and probably Miller. Does that sound promising? Seriously, the sox only advantage right now is that they are 3 games up in the L column. But if Beckett and Bedard dont find their way back to the mound, then that will dry up quickly. Today is actually an absolutely crucial day for the sox, and they arent even playing. Beckett throws a pen session today, if he comes through that well, then the sox will get a big boost. If Beckett comes back within the next week, the sox take the division. If he doesnt, then I think it will be a dogfight to the end
  3. Wow, projecting much? Dude, we had lost 4 of 5, but our rotation is intact. We havent lost 60% of our rotation. Pitching is the name of the game. We got handled by Weaver and Haren. It happens
  4. The Orioles have been playing out the string for 3 months now, but still played us hard last week. They won't take this lying down, and if you throw a bunch of s*** pitchers out there, they can hurt you. And if the Yankees clinch prior to the final TB series, we'll probably have a lineup of Cervelli, Montero, Pena, Nunez, Laird, Dickerson, Golson, Jones, and Romine for 3 games and throw a rotation of Laffey, Noesi, and Proctor. Girardi is going to rest his guys when he gets the chance
  5. Meh, I am pretty sure nobody will outbid the Yanks for Wilson. He is exactly what we need, a lefty strikeout pitcher with great stuff who doesnt have a lot of mileage on his arm. If Wilson pulls a Lee and turns down the big contract, then I think we go hard for Darvish. This kid has a better frame than Matsuzaka and throws harder. But I would like to go with the known commodity in Wilson over him if I had the choice
  6. Also, the last 3 games of the season are between the Yanks and the Rays. If the Yankees maintain their current lead, then they'll have clinched prior to that series. We'd have nobody throwing and a lineup full of Ramiro Pena's. I'd be reluctant to say we'd take any of those games if the Rays were still in it
  7. We understand this, but with the sox rotation as is, it doesnt matter which team you are facing. Baltimore can light up Andrew Miller, Tim Wakefield, Kyle Weiland and John Lackey. In order for your team to take the reigns and be strong, Beckett and Bedard need to come back. Beckett, Bedard, and Lester are the only players capable of throwing quality starts up there on a regular basis.
  8. Even with Romero's splits vs the sox, he's capable of shutting anyone down. Lackey's splits vs the entire league suck and he isnt really capable of anything.
  9. BTW, Lackey is the worst starter in baseball, BY FAR. Having faith when he starts is irrational
  10. we have a second day to wait for it anyway. Sox are off tomorrow
  11. You're being irrational for not even allowing the thought to enter your mind. It went from a close to impossibility to a very real possibility this week
  12. Get bent, lol. Welcome to 2011 bro. Man, you're being irrational and projecting your anger. If the sox actually miss the playoffs (which I think is unlikely) then you're gonna be pretty hilarious to be around. Can you bring back some other cool sayings that went by the wayside 5+ years ago?
  13. I expect them now. It's basically a default for some on here. When the sox struggle, some guys project their anger onto others. It's just something I expect now, and brush it off
  14. Sorry, I stopped watching when the sox were down 5-1 through 6. He looked pretty good through 6. My guess is the sox split with the Jays, then lose 3 of 4 to the Rays. I expect the Rays to sweep the O's and obviously take 3 of 4 from the sox. That leaves you in a flat footed tie
  15. Romero just dominated the sox in Toronto
  16. Without Buchholz and even with Beckett, the sox rotation is beatable. The only rotation that would concern me would be Anaheim and they are on the outside looking in. We match up vs every team pretty well, so if we play the way we are capable of, we can make the WS. Hopefully, someone can knock off the Phils, cause I dont think we have a prayer against them
  17. It doesnt have to normalize when your rotation isnt normal. Beckett has to pass his mound session before you declare him ready. And Bedard has to come back to stabilize the rotation. Right now, Wake, Miller, Lackey, and Weiland are auto-losses. The Rays go to Baltimore for 3. The Sox play Toronto for 2 and get Romero in one of them while throwing Wake and Lackey. Then the sox play 4 in Boston vs the Rays while seeing Niemann, Hellickson, Shields, and Price. 2 losses are built into that series, so the best you can hope for is a split if Beckett can take the hill and Lester can avoid s***ing the bed like he did today. I still think the sox win the WC, but I think that after the sox-TB series, you guys will be tied. The sox will seriously benefit from the yanks playing TB
  18. It's good to see a win. 4 games up in the L column with 17 to play.
  19. I had issues awhile ago, but havent had any lately.
  20. I hate Girardi. WHy the f*** do you leave Garcia in, he has nothing!!!
  21. I think the bloom is off the rose on Garcia. He's been awful two starts in a row
  22. You need Aceves to pitch the innings leading up to the 6th
  23. Girardi is managing this like crap
  24. Colon is throwing another gem
  25. Jeter's lackadaisical play cost us a run. f***
