    Magic number will be three if the sox and yanks scored hold. You are gonna see some interesting lineups over the next few days. We'll throw our real lineup out there for CC and for the sox series, but the other 5 games vs the Rays, we'll probably throw out a skeleton crew

    Buch will be on a 30 pitch count when he comes back and wont have time to build up from there. You typically go up by 10-15. If he starts at 30 lets say by the final week of the season, he'll be at 45 for the first round and maybe 60 by the second round. Like Schilling said, he will definitely not be starting and will definitely be healthy by spring training

    If the score holds, the sox will have scored 66 runs in their last 5 wins. They have won 1 games in September when scoring less than 12 runs. Either their offense wins the game or their pitching loses it

    Wait, so you want to take a pitcher who just missed 2 weeks and who has a lengthy injury history and make him throw at least twice on 3 days rest? That's a recipe for a back injury or oblique injury. Lester could probably do it, but he's been miserable his last couple starts as well. You're kinda stuck

    lucky for Lackey since both should have been hits, great plays by the fielders to keep Lackey from looking even worse
