  1. The book is definitely out on Salty. Breaking balls down and fastballs away
  2. We picked him up specifically for this series. I am still puzzled as to why
  3. going 3 balls to Punto should immediately remove you from the game. Cmon Hughes, this guy sucks major *******
  4. Doubie should only have 1 ER tonight. The bunt single by Grandy is an out by any real third baseman. Doubront has been solid, but has had to be inefficient due to his lack of confidence in his defense
  5. What would you rather I use? The 1.26WHIP, 8.8K/9IP, the 4K/BB. I could keep going if you want, or you could actually accept the fact I am right. I can do this all night
  6. Oh my god. I think Brennan would find a way to set fire to the internet if Gom was here.
  7. I even forgot Ivan Nova. How could I forget him. And I only used wins for Hughes when it comes to Yankee players. His peripherals have been solid, so what else do you want me to use? You guys are hilariously jaded right now. I love it
  8. You have two fan bases and if the sox management actually cared about the die hard fans, they will blow some of this up and augment the team once they build a new core. But the management follows the money and they make more money off the yuppy pink hatters so my guess is that will try another short sighted patch with a shiny new player ill suited for the pressure of Fenway or the direction of the franchise
  9. Let's go through that list, shall we? Ian Kennedy 20 game winner last yr, 4th in NL Cy Young voting. The definition of mediocre Phil Hughes 18 game winner in 2010, elite setup man in 2009, sucked in 2011 and is about to win 10 games prior to the ASB with good peripherals. More mediocrity Joba Chamberlain was an elite setup man, got hurt converting to the rotation, was pitching phenomenally well last yr before getting hurt again. When healthy, he is an impact reliever David Robertson is the best setup man in the AL over the last 2 yrs. More mediocrity Tyler Clippard has been the best setup man in the NL over the last 2 yrs and this yr has turned into an elite closer Mark Melancon, we know his story, but he was an effective closer last season Jeff Karstens is the definition of mediocrity, you got me there Alfredo Aceves was your best pitcher last yr and has been exposed in a role he shouldnt be in this yr. He isnt a mediocre pitcher by any means Jose Quintana is 4-1 with a sub 1WHIP and a 2.04ERA in his first 8 big league starts. The White Sox don't think he's mediocre
  10. I didnt say drafted or signed or scouted. I said "developed".
  11. and was released and was pitching in Mexico before the Yankees signed him, tweaked him, and turned him into an impact reliever. How is that not development? That is the definition of development
  12. stop what? I just proved to you the Yankees have actually developed some pitching
  13. lk, we havent really developed offensive talent since Gardner came up in 2008. Montero was our cash cow and we dealt him
