  1. I've seen multiple 94s and 93s today on the NESN gun
  2. The Yankees suck against lefties too. They actually suck worse (.666OPS for Yankees, .696 for Sox). So CC is dominating because the sox cant hit lefties and Lester is having trouble because he's having a bad day. When do you give credit to the opposition?
  3. I'm watching on NESN. I'm seeing a lot of 92, 93 and some 94s.
  4. Lester doesn't have it today. There should be someone up in the pen
  5. to give us 2 outs. CC is dominating because his curve is dynamite. I also am seeing a little 2 seamer in there, something he hadn't been throwing of late. He's gonna need to keep cutting, tailing and running his fastball if the heat stays down. Although in this heat, he's sitting 92-94 today
  6. In order to sign him, they'll probably have to forfeit their first rounder next yr
  7. Dumb f***ing s***. It's one thing if it's Gardner or Ichiro. It's our f***ing catcher. WTF?? And we had Cano coming to the dish
  8. What the f*** was Stewart doing there?
  9. There is no earthly way they pull CC for anyone other than Mo with him cruising like this. He'd need to show some slowing before he'd come out
  10. Tex and Youk return to a lineup that hasn't walked in 3 games. They subsequently walk twice before the 5th out is made.
  11. I get the s*** at NESN unfortunately.
  12. That is statistically ignorant. If you have a position that you are currently OPS'ing .700 at, and you place a player who is a good bet to OPS .800, the aggregate increases. Same with 3b. I know you are looking at overall, but when you replace the s*** parts with better parts, the whole improves. I don't see how your comment makes any sense at all unless Youk and Tex come in and continue at the .700OPS pace set at both positions.
  13. I'm expecting Andy Pettitte to pitch, which is what he's doing next week. We've lost 5 in a row, and in only 2 of those games our pitching was at fault (Phelps and CC). The other 3 games the opponents scored 3 runs on our starters total. And the guys who gave up the leads were KRob and Mariano, two guys who aren't going to do that a whole lot on the yr. It was a bad stretch, but it ends tonight
  14. Also, if the sox got Appel, they'd torch the rest of their draft in order to not lose a draft pick next yr. He's gonna want big money
  15. If you got Meadows it'd be a major coup. Appel seems to be a lot of hype for a guy who most people think isn't an ace. The thought on him is that he'd spend minimal time in the minors and is a very safe bet to be a middle of the rotation starter at the big league level.
  16. You apparently didn't read my point. I don't care if Tex is a slow starter, he should be counted on for an OPS around .800, which is a big time improvement. Youkilis isn't the hitter he used to be, exactly what I said. But he should be counted on for an OPS of around or above .750. Both are marked improvements over the .700 aggregate we have at these two "power" positions
  17. He had a pin inserted into his hand. He should be back in the early part of July
  18. That is an asinine comment. We rank 17th in baseball with a .700OPS out of 3b with a grand total of 4 HR. 2 of those HR were hit by Youkilis, and his .769OPS greatly skews the rest of the s*** that has been playing at that position. I doubt Youk gets back to his glory days where he hits .300 with 30 bombs and an OPS over .900. But he should be a good bet to be at least a .750OPS player or higher. That's a giant improvement. And while you guys continue to overlook the fact that Overbay has performed above expectations, the aggregate at 1b is completely abysmal. We are 25th in baseball with a .700OPS from 1b as well. Tex, whether he be in decline or not, will OPS around or above .800 when the season is over. Both of them will be marked improvements over what we currently have provided they can stay healthy from here on out.
  19. Oh I knew the offense was smoke and mirrors. It had held out well until we got Grandy back. But man, it's fallen off a cliff. We should get Tex and Youk back today.
  20. I still have to move my friend. The selling of one and buying another is a pain in the ass. Regardless, I can take it. Keep em coming. Probably not best to throw jabs when your team also goes down, though
  21. I was working, something I'm sure some of you don't do. Sucks we got battered, but once again, lost no ground
  22. Adams was a SS in college before moving to 2b due to injury. Defensively, he'll out range Jeter and will out hit Nix. if the O continues its putrid run, we're gonna need O. Hafner has been the balls, but he's also sucked lately and he's hurt. You ride the hot hand
  23. Hafner is playing through a shoulder injury.
  24. Overbay can work in at DH if Hafner doesn't pick it up. Adams can also play SS
  25. Tex and Youk in the Trenton lineup today and tomorrow. On track for starting against the sox. The smoke and mirrors lasted just long enough
