  1. That was before he tore his thumb ligament
  2. Why go away from pedroia? That's the only way he hits now
  3. Yeah, he's giving the outside and the floor
  4. Yes, it is. Nava is arguing about that final pitch, which was a strike, but strike 2 was garbage
  5. That pitch to Nava was a makeup pitch. That wasn't even close
  6. He added a 2 seamer. I hadn't seen that in awhile. He has to keep moving the fastball around the zone and putting a cut and a run on it to stay successful. When you're throwing 97 from a 6'7" frame, you don't have to do that as much. When you're throwing 91, you better
  7. I'm just calling it like it is. Stop pretending like you don't know it
  8. Yeah, that's true. The thing is, the money drops off significantly in the first 10 picks, so if he slides, he might test it out. It's strange that the first to the 7th pick has a $4 mil drop in price
  9. Mo has earned it. Miller hasnt
  10. JD Drew, Matt Harrington, Aaron Crow, etc are all examples of players going to Indy ball. It's rare, but it does happen
  11. Ichiro drops bombs in BP, but in the game, he looks like he can barely hit it out of the IF. I was there at Citi field for his BP. The guy was hitting upper tank shots easily 400 feet with regularity. I don't get why he doesn't try to muscle up and hit a little more. He isn't the guy he was where he could dribble a ball and beat it out. We might as well get some power if he isn't going to steal or get on base as much
  12. Boras will advise his players to go to Indy ball if they don't get their money. I doubt it happens, though. I think the Cubbies nab him
  13. If you go 5-10% over your draft allotment, you lose your first rounder for the following yr. The Red Sox allotment for their entire draft is $6.83 million. Last yr, the Astros didn't pick Appel because he wanted the entire first round allotment of near $7 million. The sox first round pick is worth $3.24 million. If you assume all teams will go to the 5% wall, then that leaves that pick at $3.4 million. If Appel wanted $6 mil and believes he can get it, then the sox might be drafting him for no reason since he'll either kill their entire pool or he'll go to Indy ball and take his chances next yr. Regardless, I think the point is moot. He doesn't fall past the Cubs IMO
  14. It seems like every pitch I am seeing is 92, 93, or 94. I've seen only a few 91s and 90s
  15. Just so I am clear, I just saw 2 93mph pitches from CC on his last 2 FBs on NESN. I know I am not seeing things.
  16. Your use of "them" can be misconstrued as the entire team vs just those two players.
