  1. That's better. Betances is a f***ing beast
  2. I get that this f***ing manager wants to avoid throwing these guys 3 in a row, but there's no f***ing guarantee we willing get there. Close this one out and if we are in a spot for a save tomorrow, deal with it. This is dumb f***ing managing
  3. Why f*** with a good thing. You have your # 5 on the hill tomorrow. Win this one
  4. Letting Wilson pitch to Ramirez is retarded
  5. Why are you here if you despise professional sports and a franchise's greed?
  6. Not at all. We aren't World Series contenders IMO. We need sustained health from Tanaka or a trade for a top of the rotation starter. Our pen and our O might get us to the playoffs, but I don't like our chances there without some serious front line pitching
  7. Tazawa was f***ing stupid. If you're pitching around a guy, which he clearly was for pitches 1-3, you don't groove one on pitch 4. Also, the league is on notice. If you're down any number of runs after 7 innings to us, you're done. Betances and Miller are one hell of a 1-2 punch. And the rest of the pen is the balls too. That is the one thing that will fall in the draft, and we have it in spades throughout the system, pen arms. We've got 4 guys at AAA who would be in the bigs with most any other team, but our pen is so deep, we don't have room.
  8. And Yankees win, thaaaahaaaaa Yankees WIN!!
  9. This is gonna be a high scoring affair.
  10. Our staff is in trouble without Tanaka, but our pen is f***ing balls. Your rotation has your team in a hole from the get go and your pen isn't very good either. I said it before the year, your pitching will kill you. If Tanaka isn't as hurt as I think he is, and he comes back as the same guy we've seen this year, you won't be making July acquisitions, you'll be dealing parts off for prospects
  11. 21 games in and our offense is doing great. Our pen is still lights out and the twin towers have actually turned all games into 7 inning affairs. Losing Tanaka is a humongous blow. They are downplaying this as more of a wrist issue, but for f***s sake, fix the elbow. There will be top of the line starters on the market. Make it happen. We actually have a developing farm system with some top end talent in the high minors. We have a gigantic wave of talent coming in the next 3 years as well. If the FO believes in this team, then they have to acquire a top tier starter
  12. Tanaka to DL with a "forearm" strain. Just f***ing do the surgery and deal for Hamels
  13. Warren with a strong outing today. Wish he could give more length, but he's being stretched out and I get it. We need a third guy to step up in the rotation
  14. You guys really do lap it up, huh? Kelly has the best stuff, no doubt. But he doesn't stay healthy, doesn't K people and walks too many. He's a reliever in waiting
  15. Never said cut bait. Just said he'd be a disaster, and through the first 10% of the season, he has been. Long way to go, but to this point I'm right
  16. Pleased with our offense to this point. I think Pineda and Tanaka are trending up, but I'm worried about the last three spots to this point. Sabathia has an amazing K:BB ratio as does Eovaldi, but both are getting shelled. Warren has been inconsistent. Thank god our offense and pen have been fantastic
  17. Miley was a mediocre pitcher in the AL West last year and has steadily declined since his rookie campaign. He also has trouble with the HR. Not sure what they thought they were getting. I've been calling the trade for him a disaster since day 1, and the first month thus far has proven me correct
  18. If you cut Craig, you're on the hook for the whole nut
  19. Cherington hitched his wagon to Koji. Until he completely implodes, he's your closer. Anyone who thinks he's 2013 Koji is lying to themselves. That being said, he should still be effective for you guys and your other options available to this point are sub par. Leaving Craig in the OF with a 1 run lead in extra innings is inexcusable if there was another viable option. He's a 1b playing OF.
  20. When that player is leagues below defensively where the other one is at a critically important defensive position?
  21. We pounded the s*** out of DeGrom. Tex still has pop even though he'll never hit for average again. Pineda doesn't throw hard anymore, but he has great secondary stuff and impeccable command which gets him by. 10-7 and tied for first is more than I expected to this point.
  22. Holt is perfect for what he is. Last yr, he was effective early until they figured him out and he was dreadful the last half of the year. He isn't a guy to give 500ABs to. He's a guy who will have significant effectiveness with say 250-300ABs. Over the course of a full season, he will wear down and he will be beaten by big league pitching. He probably could play better than some regulars out there, but that doesn't say much. I am sure Holt will outhit Gregorius, but it doesn't mean he'd be the better player or SS over the long term.
  23. A tough series coming up vs the Mets. Their pitching even minus wheeler has been outstanding. Gotta see if Pineda can build on his recent performance and show some stuff from last yr
  24. Don't know UN. If our pitching stays healthy, we're making the playoffs. 10% through and we have. Got another 90% to go
