  1. Well, if JBJ and Hanley don't hit at all going forward, you'll end up making a deal for a DH type so you can lengthen your lineup. You cannot continue to have 3 black holes in your lineup
  2. Not sure what problem Nunez had in the knee that didn't require surgery, but I am doubting that initial decision. Since he hurt his knee, he has no explosiveness or lateral quickness. Nunez never lacked for speed, his issues in the field have to do with his erratic arm and bad footwork. But he has looked slow this season.
  3. Swihart isn’t long for Boston. Your grueling stretch through the ASB will make his 25 man spot needed to ensure rest among the other players. They’ve held as long as they could
  4. If Bradley hits, all your problems go away. Hanley gets relegated to a backup role and his option doesn’t vest while Your OF defense is improved.
  5. 2 more HR for the baby bomber!
  6. Colon has been really good and I guarantee someone deals for him. I don’t think it’ll be Boston, though. Colon gets eaten alive vs NY.
  7. And he was the MVP of April. It's a marathon, not a sprint
  8. Erik Swanson called up to AAA after a ridiculous start to the year. The following numbers aren't typos 5-0 40.2IP 21H 2ER 0HR 12BB 52K 0.44ERA 0.81WHIP 11.6K/9IP 2.7BB/9IP This was his first taste of AA. To call him dominant to this point is an understatement
  9. Gleyber Torres has looked incredible thus far. He continues to have quality ABs and has shown surprising power. He was expected to develop it, but not to show so much to the middle of the field this early. His defense sans one game has been awesome. He can run and steal some bases. But what I’m blown away by is the maturity. He came up and has looked like a 10 hear vet from the getgo. This kid is gonna be something special. Too bad Ohtani came over this year, because the battle between the Yankee kids for ROY would be cool to watch
  10. Austin might be winning the 1b job whether Bird comes back or not. He leads AL rookies in HR and OPS. He’s quietly OPSing .930.
  11. f***ing stupid Boone. 1st and 2nd nobody out and Romine coming up and he lets him hit into the DP. You bunt him 100 times out of 100
  12. Stupid lineup today. Frazier back to the bench, Sanchez sits after a four hit day. We are facing a lefty and Gardner gets another start. Send Frazier down, no point in keeping him up.
  13. Fangraphs has Mookie at 3.5 and Trout at 3. My assumption is that ESPN takes into account BABIP, which shows Trout as not being lucky and Betts being incredibly lucky. Park adjustments factor in as well
  14. If Frazier doesn’t start the next two games vs lefties, then I’m perplexed as to why they’re having him up here carrying service time
  15. Swihart is a dead man walking
  16. Our pitching depth is insane and adding to it at the top of the draft isn’t high on my priority list unless they’ve got one as best available. We are running out of pitching slots in the system while fielding rather pedestrian lineups. We need to reload the offensive side of the ball, especially since our usual route of IFA hasn’t hit as well as we had hoped
  17. DD and Ben are on the opposing ends of the spectrum from builder to finisher. The sox would have been better off long term with someone in the middle, but Henry wanted to win now and he got it
  18. Showed some rust. Our kid struggled in the field and let in what should have been three unearned runs. It was one bad game in what has been a scintillating debut. Back to Pom, he has sucked hard all year and is not showing major league stuff
  19. Torre is serving a similar sentence
  20. It’s two months away people. I see the sox in on Realmuto but potentially getting Wilson Ramos if Vazquez doesn’t improve.
  21. 174PAs in 45 games. On pace for 626PAs
  22. I am wondering when Pom goes back on the DL
  23. John Farrell convicted of murder
  24. Don't know why anyone throws a fastball to Betts...or anything inside at all
  25. Some days the kids are going to show their age. 2 errors from Torres causing both Royals runs
