  1. Lol, you’re funny. I didn’t troll. I stated an opinion. Beers wasn’t good today. He was likely being showcased as most teams do with prospects who get a single start and then go back down. The yanks did it years ago with Claussen and it got us Boone.
  2. I don’t think the Sox feel they have another option in Beeks. He just faced an awful lineup and got himself lit up. I think this was a showcase, to be honest with you. I think the Sox hoped Beeks would throw a gem, they’d send him down then try to puff up his worth in a trade. It backfired clearly. I don’t think you’ll see him again this season unless injuries mount
  3. Great win for the Yankees. Gray has been nails for two straight starts. If he gets going, we’re going to have a top 4 that only the Astros can top. The pen was dynamite too. We head into the Mets turf but get to face DeGrom, Matz and Syndergaard which won’t be easy. Love watching this team right now
  4. As it stands right now NYY and HOU would face off in the WC game.
  5. Spud, he has light tower power. Like I said before, I wanted him in NY. He’s got a unique ability to hit the ball a mile
  6. Don’t mind the first two picks in terms of talent. They’re hitters only. One is a 1b, the other a LF. If they don’t hit enough, they’re entirely useless. But their power is special at an early age and guys who can hit a ton of bombs get a lot of leash. Typically guys with big power and big swing and miss don’t progress fast in the minors until they show advanced plate discipline and are able to walk to offset the K’s. That takes some time. Most first rounders fly through systems just due to their draft stock, but Casas may stay down at the lower levels to work on his discipline then move in a couple years. Strange matchup with him and the Sox. The Sox needed quick movers and while they got talented kids, they got guys who will take time to mold
  7. 8 shutout innings from Gray. Judge with a 2 run bomb in the 13th. Yankees up 2-0
  8. It makes sense to build in a rest day. The sox need their horses ready for September. With their record, they are 8.5 games up on a playoff spot. A few more throw in games for Beeks and Wright will allow your guys to stay strong
  9. McLanahan was available. Lefty who tops out over 100 with a wipeout slider and some recent control issues.
  10. We are agreeing too much nowadays. Totally agree. Don't show up your teammates on the field. Sort it out after
  11. I've been here for 13 years there slash.
  12. The sox popped Nicholas Northcut with their 11th selection. He's a Vandy commit and should have been a 3rd rounder in terms of talent alone. Outside of that, the sox seem to have all signable guys in Day 3 of the draft. My assumption is they wont have enough money to sign Northcut if they need to shell out for picks 1 and 2 as he is a Vandy commit and that clearly scared teams off in the earlier rounds
  13. My question is, why insert Wright and Beeks into the rotation and only remove Pomeranz? Are they just looking to give the guys a 1 day breather to reset or is there another issue one of the core four starters is facing?
  14. The kid is coming up. Not sure if it’s a one start thing or an audition for bigger things. Clearly Wright staked his claim to a spot last night. It will be interesting to see how he does
  15. Shall we just bury the hatchet and move on?
  16. Also, Cora giving an update today rather than reassuring the masses the moment he heard something makes it sound ominous. It might not be, but the Sox don’t usually keep their fans in suspense over good news. I wonder if there’s another procedure in the offing
  17. You can be friends off the field, but on the field you back your brothers in the uniform over friends on the other side. Pedroia violated the code. If he was on one of my teams back in the day, he’d have gotten his ass kicked. You never show up your brothers and when they defend you, you back them up 100%
  18. This draft had a lot of power. Casas was one of the most powerful. I won’t lie, I wanted him in NY. I just wonder why DD went that route with the needs clearly being a two year turnaround of the system
  19. It’s a 14 month recovery between knife and first start assuming all goes well. He will be an option for us down the stretch in 2019. He may not be any good 14 months out, but he’ll be able to pitch. He should return to being good by start of year 2020
  20. I admitted to trolling a few posts when the trolls came out against me. Just returning whats been sent my way, then showed how stupid it was. I guess you didn't realize that
  21. FsB, Chatham is a singles hitter with no power. Xander is a 20HR guy. You're not signing Harper. You sign him and you might as well say goodbye to Betts
  22. I think Pomeranz is old news. If Wright is right, he will be better than Pom
  23. Hicks with a 3 run bomb. 7-2 and thankfully, we look to take a game Estrada pitches. He owns us
