  1. Sounds like he’s going the non surgical route here. Sometimes these loose bodies settle down and get pinned in the joint. Other times they don’t. My bet is he’s headed for surgery at the end of the year and Eo is hoping he can avoid the knife during the year
  2. On a positive note, Paxton is on fire. 14 shutout innings, 24 K’s in his last two starts. He’s as dominant as they come. Let’s hope he can avoid the bug going around the clubhouse
  3. If you’re gonna give him work, up 5 against the Royals isn’t a bad way to go. My question is why we didn’t go to Britton once Green was in trouble. Mondesi does hit lefties better, but Ottavino is death on righties alone while Britton is actually really tough on righties and then Gordon after that. I am worried about Green. His FB isn’t as hard and the location isn’t near as good. One thing he didn’t do the last 2 seasons was walk guys and he cannot find the zone or miss the barrel. Either his mechanics are off or his body is off and we shouldn’t be figuring this out in the majors. The one thing this farm has is guys who can pitch, especially guys who can pitch out of the pen. Bring up Domingo Acevedo and IL Green to get his s*** straight
  4. Eo may be a great reliever. He also may be on the DL all season. Who the heck knows. He is the definition of injury prone
  5. He’s 1.3mph off from where he was before and he isn’t locating. There’s something wrong. I know it wouldn’t be popular, but I’d IL him and bring up Acevedo
  6. Good come from behind win, but it highlights something really problematic. Chad Green is not right. Is it mechanical? Is it injury? Not sure, but we need to send him down
  7. You mean they stole the Manny and Papi handbook?
  8. Estrada should be the SS. At least he can hit
  9. Gleyber our of the lineup, likely due to abject fear that another starter will go down in the rainy northeast
  10. That’s pretty dumb and you know it
  11. If Mitchy 2 bags misses time, you’ll need Chavis.
  12. I had no idea Holt wore contacts. That considerably pushes back the timeline. Non aided visual people can usually get back to normal in a week, but contact lenses need to stay out for awhile. Return to using contacts can irritate the eye and in bad cases, cause a keratitis
  13. How the f*** is that a homer and the one in the Yankee game isn't?
  14. Not sure that's a tater
  15. Loose bodies would be designated as bone chips if they were bone chips. These are typically pieces of scar tissue or cartilage that break off
  16. I saw it. He'll be out awhile. Grade 1, he will miss 3 weeks, grade 2 6 weeks. Grade 3, who knows
  17. Time to fire the strength and conditioning coach
  18. That’s an oblique. f***ing wonderful
  19. Then the foul tip call? WTF? Seriously, these umps are abysmal
  20. I can never understand the call overturning a HR on a ball that actually is leaving the park. Torres hits one clearly out of the park. On the lateral view, the ball is clearly going to be a few inches above the glove. A fan catches the ball but makes contact with the glove of Gordon. Torres called out. This is similar to the Betts play on Altuve last year. It's a bad call all around. If a ball is leaving the park and is now in the reach of a fan, the ball should be a HR. It just should be. Asking fans to protect themselves but not catch a ball hit to them is counterintuitive. Garbage call
  21. Loose bodies aren’t all that problematic long term, but they need to be retrieved. Opening the elbow, recovery, build up, etc is probably going to cost him 3 months. Wouldn’t be surprised if Eovaldi comes back in relief after 10 weeks or so without the buildup. I guess it depends on what is needed at the time
  22. He’d have been better served ending up somewhere he’d get regular at bats. Kelly is a really solid prospect starting there and will likely relegate Blake to third catcher duty.
  23. It’s the liberal PC agenda at work. Stupid
  24. Not sure why we need him if Andujar is gonna be a DH/1B with Voit and Stanton will spend some time at DH, but I guess it’s a buy low situation.
