  1. I just crossed 40K posts in this game thread. Wow
  2. This guy looks like he was pulled out of a southie bar
  3. The sox were absolutely expected to make the playoffs last year. They weren't expected to win the division
  4. Time to get someone up. Happ has lost it
  5. I am not saying it should make you depressed, but I will never rationalize their lack of success to help my anxiety. I expect the Yanks to be in it year in and year out. They're not gonna win it every year. Heck, they haven't won it in 10, but I'd expect competitive baseball, especially as defending champs
  6. That was a great piece of hitting. Jackie just outran that ball. Great play
  7. You call me a troll yet you're okay with your team not making the playoffs? I am never okay with my team missing the playoffs. Ever. I can come to grips with it, but I am never okay with it. Especially when your team is about to get swept by the Yanks and be non-competitive by early August
  8. Our rotation might get a leash of a single run before we unleash the pen. Boone isn't making the same mistake he did last year or he won't be managing 2020
  9. I believe they call this a cliff
  10. You mean the rotation that is chewing through your squad right now?
  11. The cool thing about this season is you will get to see the Yankees play in the playoffs and the sox swinging on the links
  12. And they should be. I am just saying they aren't invincible. Houston looks stacked too, but they can be beaten
  13. What ends up happening on a talented team heading down the tubes is everyone starts looking to get theirs. Been there. I played on a legion team that lost in the state finals the year before. We returned all but one guy who didn't start. We went .500 the following year even though we were loaded and the prohibitive favorites to win the states. After 20 games, we were 10-10 and everyone started trying to get their stats, no longer playing for each other, and it all melted
  14. Their pen is without a dominant pitcher. Kenley is human. They have a bunch of mid 3 ERA relievers in front of him. The only guy really pitching well out of the pen is Urias. They don't have a dominant pen. No bridge that is lights out
  15. He had always faded as the season wore on. He should be healthy and should be fresh
  16. You almost have to. You are going into a series that you need to sweep. If Price gives up a hit here, you Tanaka him and let him allow 12 runs
