  1. That’s why we need a healthy Severino and Betances. Even if Sevy is a 3 inning pitcher, that pen would be absolutely deadly for the final 6. Boone is going to need to be aware of his strengths. If Betances returns, we can run a pen game in game 4 if need be. Green Betances Ottavino Kahnle Britton Chapman With everyone in front of Chapman doing either 1-2 innings. Heck, if Sevy is a reliever then add him to the list.
  2. And yet the Sox bludgeoned them and beat them with offense, good D and a timely arrival to the postseason of one David Price. Even with Greinke, they’re not invincible. We got swept in Houston in April and were winning all three of those games. We s*** all over them in a 4 gamer in the Bronx later in the year and took 3 in a row before Boone rested the regulars in game 4 and Justin Verlander beat us. We can beat anyone, especially if we get healthy between now and Oct 1
  3. Yankee fans are kidding themselves about their team being just good? Are you really believing that drivel. We just ended the season of the defending world champions and essentially pushed you off a cliff with a team of AAA players. Our “terrible rotation” was a single pitch away last night from holding the Sox to under 2 runs in each game of this four game set. We didn’t even use our pen last night beyond guys who are second line and we still shut you down. When we get healthy, we are gonna be a challenge for any team in the playoffs
  4. So here’s the rundown of this crazy injury list Severino- expected to start mound work this week. No hiccups since he restarted throwing. On track for an early September return Betances- expected to start mound work a few days after Severino. No hiccups since he started throwing. On track for early September return Stanton- no timetable for his knee sprain, but he’s begun running on a treadmill. From there he’ll do agility drills, hitting and a rehab assignment. My bet is he’s ready around the same time as Sevy Voit- says he will avoid surgery but has a follow up this week. At the appointment, they’ll determine if surgery is recommended now or if it can wait into the off season Montgomery- threw live BP last month. No word on further progression. I assume he’s still throwing Andujar- our for the year Hicks- avoided injury to the UCL or so they say. They’re calling it a “flexor strain”. Means far less to position players as it does to pitchers if the diagnosis is accurate. Expected to resume throwing in 10 days. He’s likely to return in 2-3 weeks. Even if he needs forearm or TJ surgery at some point, he will likely be able to avoid it until the offseason Sanchez- expected to return for the Toronto series Gleyber- Core injury, but his dad tweeted out that he is fine and is traveling with the team. I’d assume he’s not going to play tonight but may have avoided significant injury Urshela- likely to take a few days off after fouling balls of both his legs, but should avoid the DL CC- expected to return this week Hale- who knows Encarnacion- 3-5 week timetable sounds optimistic. If they don’t mess with it like we did with Judge last year, we could see him at the 6 week mark, which would bring us to mid September Weird year. Our AAA club has lapped the ALE. Cashman and Boone have done an incredible job
  5. I’m not sure how Levangie still has a job. This season is lost for the Sox due to pitching and he’s in charge of the pitching.
  6. I thought you meant Sox top 8. Yeah, that’s nuts. I bet Yordano Ventura is on that list too
  7. His dad tweeted out that he’s fine after his evaluation and is heading to Baltimore with the team.
  8. Break out the brooms! Good night fellas
  9. So you get Ottavino warm but won’t use him in a save situation? Weird
  10. His OPSa when he's throwing 95+ is under .600. His OPSa when throwing under 95 is over 1.000. It's pretty apparent it's a velocity issue
  11. So we are going to Green in the 9th? Ottavino can go, why not let him close this out? Green is either gonna be lights out or get lit up. He doesn't play the inbetween game
  12. Sale still has the heat sometimes.
  13. f***ing great. Torres just got pulled. What the ever living f***
  14. No, transitioning pitchers are going to have stretches where they are great, but then they'll have stretches where they're terrible
  15. We already have our AAA team on the field. Might be time to look at AA
  16. You can definitely break a tibia with a baseball, though
  17. What the ever living f*** is going on here
  18. You're not gonna break your femur with a baseball. That's a bruise
  19. Cessa tried to suck, but thankfully Chavis chased. Hey offense, we don't have our big pen arms today. Might need more runs
  20. how the ever living f*** do you walk Travis here. This is Happ's last batter
  21. Price would have been gone before last year, though
