  1. that is a tough call. I dont think the call on the field will be overturned.

  3. the chargers are dumb as s***. LT should be dominating, instead he is being used as an afterthought. He should be their primary offense.
  4. just because someone isnt on the opening day roster doesnt mean they'll be non-factors. At the same time, having the media toot their horns is a good way to raise their stock a bit. If this kid is actually a trade chip, then sweet.
  5. Tomlinson is absolutely nasty. Why are they throwing the ball so much? The Pats are having trouble stopping LT, why not try to grind em down.
  6. yeah it was. Thus far defense is winning on both sides.
  7. that was a fumble. f***in refs.
  8. So I was perusing the prospect list from the guys who came over from ARI in the RJ deal, and I was pretty excited about Ohlendorf, kinda excited about Jackson and not so much about Gonzalez. But two columns today quote "annonymous execs" who say that Gonzalez would be the first one that they would ask for in a deal. Both Bill Madden and Ken Rosenthal echoed the same opinion. As a matter of fact, here is the excerpt from Madden's article in the daily news today. Very interesting to say the least. If he has so much value, why not shift Robby to 1b and move Gonzalez to 2b? Or maybe he is a nice chip to package with a pitching prospect to get something nice. Who knows, but if this kid really has this much value, then this is a damn good deal.
  9. I was hoping the saints would get another home game. Oh well. Put the f***in pats game on
  10. This Bears game has been a very blah great game if you know what I mean. Lots of mistakes on both sides with the likelihood being an OT finale.
  11. agreed. The sox pitching staff looks damn good on the rotation end, assuming things work out. But they could probably do themselves good and maybe sign Tony Armas or someone of his ilk for protection in the event that rotation depth is needed past 5. Lester should not be rushed. Then next yr he and Hughes can battle each others the next big things in BOS-NY. I am pulling for the kid.
  12. It was a salary dump at the time, not it is just flat out dumb. Abreu at 16 mil is actually a damn good value, and on a short term deal to boot. I'll tell you what, who would you rather have, Abreu for this yr and next at 16 mil per or JD for the next 5 yrs at 14 mil per?
  13. It is always good to stockpile arms for deals, but I like the idea of us actually breaking some of these kids into our rotation/pen and getting younger. Thing is, Hughes and Ohlendorf seem to be tagged for future rotation slots. I feel as if Sanchez may see BP time by the end of the yr. But who knows. I think this Steven Jackson kid is a nice piece to have too. His stock isnt too high right now because he had such a horrible 05 as compared to his 06 which was fantastic. If this kid starts off strong in AAA this yr, we might have another big time trade chip. Who knows, but it is exciting knowing that there are so many kids who can help. The chore is figuring out which ones to deal and which ones to keep.
  14. I think Peyton is playing this smart. Once he gets into FG range, he is making passes that can only be caught by his receivers. With Vinatieri, he just needs to get them near the goal. If this D keeps it up, the colts will be tough.
  15. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/story/488021p-410938c.html did anyone see this. Pedro, 35, is in camp with his 19 yr old son, Pedro E Martinez who is a Mets pitching prospect. Pedro got busy early.
  16. what is going on with the colt defense. They are playing out of their minds.
  17. he will gain it back eventually. The question is, when. If you rush him back, he will not have the legs under him, nor the body strength. That means the arm is gonna be under a lot of stress. They need to rebuild the body.
  18. GO COLTS!! My Jets are out of it, and I'd like to see Peyton win one. Then again, if the colts win and the pats win, then we thus guarantee the Pats a trip to the super bowl.
  19. 10 pounds is not much for me. But for a 160 pound kid, that is bad.
  20. Lester is said to have lost a lot of weight and is very weak. If you rush him, he will hurt his arm.
  21. Both are good and one is clearly better. Good, that is a solid statement.
  22. over the life of the contract? Bold.
