    from what I know, the muscle bulk doesnt go away after stopping steroids. I'll tell you what, I'd highly doubt Giambi is using again.

    JH is not the tyrant that George is. George has taken a back seat for the most part, but if he has any mental faculties left, you can bet he has told Cashman to not let Clem finish his career in Boston. That means any price. JH has a limit, George does not.

    Even Giambi was a guy who had high SLG's in the minors prior to using. I feel Giambi would never be the same player without the drugs, but he would still have some power in the bigs. Sosa barely scraped .400 in SLG in the minors. He was a 6' 160 something pound kid who seemed to balloon to 220 rather quickly. He of all people was someone who went from being a no power OFer to a power star quickly. I dunno. Giambi's admission while nobody else admitted is a big step for me. Then his half assed apology was still an apology. It is guys like McGwire, Sosa and Palmeiro that make me sick, because we know what they did, they just keep refusing to acknowledge it.

    It will be between NYY and BOS and NYY will win. BOS will drive the price up, but Cashman will not be outbid.

    diehard has released 2 more names on their top 50. Papelbon is a soft tossing, sidearmer who led his team in saves. He throws mid 80s with a curve and change int he 60s. He expects to be moved slowly, and will be sent to A-Greenville to start the yr. Still was drafted last yr as a catcher in the 4th round and had a horrible first season, but finished strong to get his average over .200 for the season. He will likely start in low A.

    he was with the mets and was a damn good prospect. He never developed the power he was supposed to. He bounced around for a few yrs and was actually a very serviceable 4th OFer, then he went to Japan. On any other ballclub, he'd be a lock as the 4th OFer, but when you have Hinske and WiMP under contract, you arent guaranteed anything.

    I hope he goes there, does well, then fails a steroid test. That would leave McGwire, Palmeiro, and Sosa out of the hall with HOF #s due to roids.

    TGov, Weaver is in line for a Pavano style deal. There is no way he accepts a minor league deal.

    Drew would be a good #2 hitter. Batting him at 5 wastes his OBP because Lowell, Vtek, and Crisp will follow and none of them are big time RBI men.
