    if it is money he wants, then why leave NY? He knows that if he performs like this until the end of his contract, that the yankees will give him a ridiculous contract well past his prime until he becomes a drag on the team. He will not get paid more anywhere else.

    he isnt the crux, but my rotation is a huge part of my scoring in head to head. He was my first pitcher selected, 3rd round in most drafts and was a keeper in my keeper league.

    HOSN, ARod wont leave and make anymore per yr than he will make the next 3 yrs. He is due 27 mil per season the next 3 yrs. Nobody beats that. But what ARod can get is a long term deal as a 32 yr old for something near 20 mil a yr. If ARod doesnt think he can stay healthy up to 34 yrs old and wont command a 15 mil salary, then it isnt fiscally feasible. If he thinks he can stay healthy and can handle NY, then opting out isnt financially feasible.

    Game over. Yankees win 9-2 Recap. Yankee offense was filthy against a hot shot kid who is coming off a pretty good rookie campaign. ARod is unreal right now. Giambi is breaking out. Every hitter had a hit. Josh Phelps is hitting well also, and is making a push to be the regular 1b. Igawa was NASTY. His curveball and change were on today and he located all over the zone. He had a rough 3rd inning, but cam through after that and the game was easy for him from there. Against a solid lineup, this guy showed he belongs. The pen held the Guardians to 0 runs in 3 innings again. Solid victory.
