  1. WHAT THE f*** ARE YOU WAITING FOR TORRE YOU DUMB f***!!!!
  2. he did just throw a solid inning against you guys.
  3. that was a laser. It was a good pitch too. Sometimes the hitter just gets a good pitch and gets it out. Tip the cap.
  4. Gascan has been amazing since May.
  5. I think you may be right Gom. The division is done. The wild card is in our grasp as I think Detroit and Seattle dont have the gusto to make a big run (I think Seattle's big run is through), and I also think that we have the stuff to take down the sox. But, assuming we do win the WC, we get Anaheim in anaheim to start, and that will suck donkeyballs. If the sox dont have to face us in the playoffs, then they are home free to the world series.
  6. unless the sox completely go in the tank and lose all 6 to the yankees, THEN lose 2 more games to us for the rest of the month, this race is over. So those of you who are crying about the sox losing, shut it. It is in Yankee stadium, the goal for the sox is to not get swept, thats it. And in the next series, the goal is to not get swept. Right now, the yankees arent even in your rear view. Enjoy the ride down the Champs d'Elysses (sp?) and take the yellow tape with some dignity.
  7. This is a sure sign that George is muttering to himself in a corner somewhere. There is no way in hell George would sign off on having so many rookies on a team. I like it though, because anyone is better than the Moose. Unfortunately, Kennedy is running out of innings (his cap is 150 and he is 14 from that) so this may be a one and done kind of thing.
  8. yeah we won. Doesnt do much for the east, but go angels.
  9. Kielty left with back spasms too.
  10. later Drew. That pitch was nasty.
  11. wow, that was dirty. Manny is out with back spasms.
  12. he's a bit too amped up. Cmon Joba.
  13. talies, where are you when times are tough? I still havent had a day off in 2 weeks. I am just on days right now. I have tonight off, tomorrow night I will be out, thursday I'll be working and who knows for the weekend.
  14. Damon's homer is out in Fenway too. He wrapped it around the pole.
  15. Well, 7IP and 3ER is nothing to sneeze at. We need a run here so you can see Joba.
  16. Yeah, this is the f***ing gamethread tonight. Seriously, 8 f***ing games and counting. Sept 1st is around the corner. If you are gonna win the damn division, just f***ing stomp the head now, no more dickpunches, okay? Otherwise, go yankees, the wild card is in sight. (So long as that sheisty f*** Mussina is pulled from the rotation).
  17. We may have seen Mike Mussina's career end last night.
  18. and I concur. Gom will be spitshining Hughes up and down next yr and for yrs to come, I have a feeling he will conveniently forget this rant.
  19. I didnt think the yanks would be a sub .500 team all yr, I just didnt think the sox would let us back in it the way they were playing. But the sox opened the door for awhile, and then juist slammed it shut. In terms of Hughes, his past 2 starts have really shown something. Against Anaheim, it was obvious he didnt have his best location, but he held the lead into the 7th, when he was let down by the pen. Yesterday, he got hit early, but then went into shutdown mode and held the game at 1 run. He's a 21 yr old pitcher with great stuff who has a great mentality who is showing improvement in approach against 2 of the best teams in the game. I am intrigued to see how he does in 2 weeks against the sox.
  20. I wonder what his future is. He is very effective in short bursts. He might be one hell of a reliever and could be on the fast track if he is kept as one.
